The golden warrior picked up some moss and moved it over to the den. "First, I want you to strip the nests clean and put the used moss outside the camp."
"Well, back when AshClan first started, the volcano near our camp erupted, sending down molten rock. It burned the entire camp, which rested on a small crook on the volcano. The lava reached the end of the forest then stopped. There were few survivors, most of them singed by the lava, and the forest and their home was gone. They named this place 'The Barren', and none of the land has ever recovered. Many cats think that it is because at night, Dark Forest warriors are able to roam free in the Barren." Flashstar meowed, reciting what he had learned a long time ago.

Flashstar moved across the ground as fast as he could. "This used to be a lush forest, filled with many trees and streams, and it had a lot of prey."

Shadowblossom peeked in the apprentices' den, looking for her apprentice. They hadn't been out training in a while, and she wanted to take her out hunting.
Blossompaw looked up at Sunblaze, "So, what are we doing?" she cheerfully chirped.
