Something of was going on in the forest. Ripple could sense it. There was a sickly sweet scent on the breeze, and he was well-aware of what it was. Heat. Before he could stop himself, his paws carried him toward the scent with urgency, seeming to lift him off the ground. When Ripple finally reached the tree, he cast his gaze up, and there Rene was, sitting up in the tree. "Hey!" The silver tabby tom called, "How's the weather up there?"

With a sharp turn towards the apartment building, Jack shivered in the cold, autumn air. It was colder than usual in (insert city name), and it puzzled the natives. He opened the door when he arrived at the apartment building's doors, holding one open for Alexandria.

Jack wrapped his arms around her, feeling happiness wash him again. Alexandria was much more fun to be around. She wasn't so clingy. After a few moments he pulled away, a little bit paranoid his girlfriend might still be around, watching. "I don't have my car. But the apartment's not so far away from here." As he turned toward the street leading to his apartment, he took Alexandria's hand, smiling to himself.

Jack groaned and rolled his eyes as his name was squealed behind him. "Baby!" He pulled a fake smile and turned, opening his arms to embrace his girlfriend. Can't I be alone? The chick was always following him, especially when he was on his way to hang out with Alexandria. I want to hang out with my friend instead of making out for three hours, thanks!
