HISTORY ;;We were always told as children that there were good people in this world and bad people. My parents always told me that I was a good person, and that I should stay that way. They also told me that being different was a good thing. But that was a cover story.
My name is Calcifer, a flame demon in folklore. When my parents named me that, I doubt they knew I'd live up to that name. They probably weren't expecting there little boy to discover how to throw fire balls from his hands.
And when they found out I could do that, they took me straight to the doctor. And what did the doctor say? "He's perfectly normal. I don't see why you're so concerned." Well, they just figured they must have been seeing things. Perhaps, it was a trick of the light? Wrong.
As I grew up, I learned how to make my power stronger, but I practiced outside, and I barely saw my parents. They were always upstairs, they'd even built a door on the bottom of the stairs. That door was always locked.
They didn't want any part of Calcifer. That's why I ran away. If they didn't want me, I'd find someone else to love me. Right? I was only fourteen at the time and I had no idea what the real world was like. {I hadn't even been to school. My parents simply bought me textbooks to read. Textbooks, dictionaries, thesauruses, and a few other books just for pleasure reading.}
Somehow, I've managed to survive those two lonely years, living on the streets and just...surviving. I found that I could get money from doing simply tasks like working in a bakery. No need for an oven there. Of course, I never let anyone see me use my powers.
Especially after I heard the news broadcasts. Scientists had discovered 'military' operations in which young children were given inhuman powers. When had this happened? When had the children been given their powers?
Several teens had been given unnecessary shots sixteen years ago while they were in the hospital. Sixteen years ago, I'm sixteen. I have inhuman powers. And that's when I knew it, it was there fault.
All their fault.
