Hello! <: This would be my first time writing a fanfic, and I do hope some can enjoy it <3 I'm a fan of My Little Pony, don't judge xD I came up with this series and never really thought of posting it until now. Feel free to post, but please keep negative comments to yourself.
CHAPTER ONE&&
I couldn’t help but begin to cry. My whole life… in pieces. I stood by the bodies of Mother and Father, trying to ignore the blood that coated their bodies. I don’t know why the Ursa Minor had left me alone. Maybe it was because it thought I too was dead, or maybe it felt bored and had just walked away. That didn’t matter. My parents were dead, I had nowhere to go, I was tired and hungry… this trip had turned out to be a disaster. My own sobs, though they sounded like one from a stranger, penetrated the eerie silence that had fallen over the night. My voice cracked as I gently whispered into my mother’s alabaster pelt, a part that wasn’t soaked in blood. “M-mom…” That was when I passed out. Well, I sort of did. Exhaustion overcame my frail young body and caused me to black out, completely.
“Oh! My…” My eyes barely cracked open to spot a smudged yellow shape standing mere feet away from me and my parents. “Don’t… hurt… me,” I barely had time to whimper before I fell back asleep. That was all I could remember. It must’ve been hours later when I awoke for the second time. I was very comfortable and my head was placed gently on a soft pillow. My frail body was covered with a warm and cozy blanket. My heart skipped a beat. It was a dream! A horrid, scary nightmare. Instead of opening my eyes though, I squeezed them shut tight, just basking in the glorious moment. They hadn’t been evicted… her parents were never killed in that horrible forest by that scary creature… she was never- “Oh Celestia! Fluttershy, who on earth is that?” My eyes popped open at the elegant shrieks. My heart sank deep into my gut. I wasn’t in my bed. I wasn’t in my house. And the ponies walking toward me were definitely not my parents. The walls around the room were definitely wooden, and the few wild animals scattered around only scared me more. Whimpering, I sank deep into the bed and pulled the covers up over my eyes, though I pulled them down half an inch as the hoofsteps got louder. Two mares approached. One was a soft yellow color with a long pink mane and gentle turquoise eyes. Just her presence was comforting, and I blinked and sniffled. The other mare looked a lot like my mother. Same white coat and purple mane, but she had dazzling blue eyes and a curled mane. My mother’s was straight. “Oh dear… are you alright?” The yellow mare spoke first. Even her voice was soft, and she tentatively took a step forward. I whimpered again, fear shooting through my veins. The other mare glared at her companion. ”Fluttershy, we don’t want to scare her!” She looked towards me again. “Young one, you are safe. I am Rarity, and this would be Fluttershy. Are you hungry?” YES! I blinked and was about to nod frantically, but I gained self control and only continued to make small noises. “W-where are my p-parents?” I could see Rarity blink. “She’s just a baby, Fluttershy.” I don’t think those words were meant for me to hear, but I heard them anyway. “I’m afraid, sweetheart, that your parents… are gone.” But she had already known what had happened to her parents. The question was mainly to herself, to reassure her that they weren’t gone, but the truth was the truth. Just then a rumbling noise caused all three mares to freeze, and the filly in the bed looked down. A soft chuckle escaped Rarity’s lips and she stepped forward, gently laying a hoof on the filly’s shoulder. “Come on dear, let’s get you some food.” She obeyed mostly out of fear, but hunger also drove her to uncover and slide to the ground. However, as soon as she did so, both mares gasped and stepped back, eyes wide with shock. “Fluttershy, run and get Twilight!”
CHAPTER TWO&&Taken by surprise, I stepped back. Fluttershy flapped her wings, which I didn’t know she had, and hovered for a moment before flying out of sight. Rarity stood frozen before walking toward me as if nothing had happened. I froze as well and let her practically drag me along towards what I guessed was the kitchen. Some squirrels scattered as Rarity broke away from me to scout the cabinets. After a minute of waiting, I could hear her despite the fact her head was buried in a cupboard. “Where does Fluttershy keep her food?” My stomach rumbled again and I guess that egged Rarity on, for it wasn’t another minute before she had thrown together a bowl full of some fresh looking straw and a couple of daisies. Delighted, I stuck my nose into the bowl and began munching. I could almost feel the chewed food happily sliding into my stomach. It felt so good to finally eat. We hadn’t really stopped on out road trip. I nibbled the last flower, swallowing and eagerly looking up for more. With a playful snort, Rarity added some more straw to the bowl, which I gladly ate, then pulled it away. Casting my gaze down, I noticed a squirrel which had returned, despite the scare Rarity and I had given it when we had approached so noisily. It leaped gracefully onto the counter, and my heart went out to it as Rarity shooed it away. That’s when I knew this was definitely that Fluttershy’s house. No way was an elegant mare like Rarity living here. I could even smell the dust that hung in the air. It wasn’t long before Rarity place the bowl on the table again, but this time fresh water sloshed around inside. I eagerly gulped down every last drop, sighing afterwards. My belly was full, my thirst was quenched, I felt fully rejuvenated. At last I was convinced these ponies weren’t out to murder my family. Rarity smiled smugly as she moved to settle next to me. ”Now how are you feeling dear?” I refused to meet her gaze, yet that didn’t seem to bother her. ”Better.” And of course a filly like me could never forget her manners, ”T-thank you, Miss Rarity.” The alabaster mare scoffed. ”Oh, we will have no such words. Call me Rarity.” I nodded uncertainly. I finally calmed down and looked up at her. Her blue eyes were gentle and soft, and at that moment I knew that I would be safe now. No more giant blue creatures trying to slit my throat. Just then, the door to the cozy little cottage burst open and three mares entered. One of them, an orange one with a blonde mane, was speaking hurriedly. ”Couldn’t find Rainbow. Probably sleepin’, bein’ herself,” The mare couldn’t help but chuckle, though was silenced as her emerald eyes settled on the filly next to Rarity. ”Awe.. my Fluttershy, we weren’ kiddin’ when you said you found a filly… and barely a fill at that, she’s just a little ‘ol thing!” I shrank back, the familiar feeling of fear rising in my gut. I felt a reassuring hoof wrap around my shoulders and turned my wide eyes on Rarity. ”They won’t hurt you,” The white mare assured, smiling softly. I nodded, gulped, and gathered my courage. ”H-hello,” My attempted greeting came out as more of a pathetic squeak. The orange mare’s eyes softened and she smiled. ”Don’t you worry sugarcube, you’re safe an’ sound right here,” She said softly. I nodded, pushing the hair that had separated from my mane and into my vision. The purple mare pushed in front of the orange one and spoke. I hadn’t noticed her until now because she hadn’t spoken. ”Fluttershy.. I think we may have to talk to Princess Celestia about this.” Confused, I shifted in my spot uneasily. The Princess? Why’d they have to bother her with me? Rarity shot the purple mare a venomous look. ”Now now, all of you be quiet. We must begin carefully, and for one please stop talking as if Snow Day isn’t here. She’s very-““Wait justa second.” The orange mare had regained herself and stepped forward. ”Snow Day?” She earned herself a nod from Rarity. ”I thought Snow Day might fit her. That beautiful white coat, silver mane, cyan streaks. Like a mixture of fallen snow.” The orange mare blinked. ”Well maybe she has a name already.” I felt all eyes on me and swallowed. Shaking my head, I chose my words carefully. ”I don’t.. have a name.” It was something hard to admit and I noticed Rarity shoot the orange mare a triumphant look. ”Now, as I was saying before, we should introduce ourselves.” Rarity didn’t wait for an answer as she walked towards the three mares. ”Snow Day, you’ve met Fluttershy and myself, but this is Applejack and Twilight Sparkle.”
