~Name~
Brine Simons
~Gender~
Female
~Age~
15
~Looks~
She's long and spindly with thick dark brown hair that hovers above her shoulders. She has large green eyes and she seems to always smile. She has a round, childish face in a way, and looks very innocent despite her power. She hardly has any meat on her body, and looks very frail, although she is nowhere near that term. In fact, she is a lot stronger than most girls her age.
~Personality~
Brine is upbeat- an optimist all the way through. She hardly ever frowns, and loves her twin brother, Kage. She's protective and naive, often getting herself into trouble. Through it all she stays happy and finds the up in every down. Her energy, however, can be a little draining for those who aren't used to it. She's so high energy that she can't focus well on anything, but she still strives to help everyone around her.
~History~
Brine was orphaned at a young age alongside her twin brother, Kage. She doesn't remember her parents and never has. Growing up in and out of foster care, she never really found anything to complain about. She grew up hard, and had a hard time, but she was happy because of her brother. She knew she was stronger than him from the beginning, and she had always wanted to make sure he never got hurt. It was hard, of course, looking after him and making sure that she went wherever he did.
When she was twelve, she found out her powers. She and her brother were playing at a park when a guy came up and grabbed Kage from behind. She had rushed forward, hitting the assailant's chest with her own fist. Of course, she hadn't been very strong then. The guy crumpled, dead due to heart failure.
Brine knew after killing him that she couldn't return, and that Kage couldn't return either. So she ran from foster care, and ended up on the streets. She hid from police, kept her face hidden, keeping to the shadows. Of course, they were found within the year, but by a guy who promised not to turn them in. He said that he wanted to adopt them.
Of course, Brine hadn't trusted him at first, but he had been so nice to them. Even when Kage had used his power to bind him, all he ever did was promise not to harm them. Eventually, they went with him.
The guy turned out to be a doctor, who was looking for people with strange abilities. He wanted to give them a place of refuge, and that is what they received.
~Power~
She can touch the skin above an organ and cause the organ to fail.

Brine closed her eyes against the light. She smiled, taking in a deep breath of the fresh air. It had been only a few months after following Dr. Simons to his large home. It was built into the ground, but it was big and made her think of being safe and at home. The only downside of the entire package was the abundant supply of stale, underground air.
It was good to go outside, because they were surrounded by lush green woods and wildflowers. In all reality- it looked like it had come straight out of a story book. The densely wooded forest was greener and softer than much you could usually find, and the sky was almost always a vivid blue. If you woke up early and went outside, there would be a cold but fresh breeze blowing through your hair, and frost on your breath. The dew on the grass may freeze your feet, but it all just felt so surreal and amazing to her.
"Come on, Brine! We need to practice." At her brother's voice she jumped, looking behind her. He was standing there, his focused eyes looking at her with displeasure. Sometimes she thought he looked almost... scared.
"There's a reason I don't go to practice, Kage. I hate it. I mean- what's the point if you aren't going to ever use your powers to fight in the first place? I thought this was a haven, not a war zone." Brine complained, frowning. He put a hand on her shoulder, and shook his head, but didn't say anything more.
~Name~
Kage Simons (Ka-gay Sim-ons)
~Gender~
Male
~Age~
15
~Looks~
Although he used to be shorter than his sister, Kage is now considerably taller. He has sandy blond hair and blue eyes. He stands tall and proud, although his eyes often show sadness and uncertainty. He if powerfully built, and good looking, but hard to recognize. He is built powerfully, and it is easy to see he has power.
~Personality~
You'll usually see Kage in the back of the group- a shadow to his sister. He has never been anything except a shadow to her, and he likes it that way. He knows that his sister thinks she's more powerful than he is, but it is his secret to stick around her as a type of bodyguard. He is caring and shy, but very strong willed. He is hard to keep a conversation with, since he prefers silence to words, but he is very empathetic. You can confide in him easily, and he will not judge you in any way. He likes to help others- in the cost of everything he has. In the end, he is loyal to the point in his own self-destruction.
~History~
He had about the same past as his sister, Brine. He grew up in foster care, until he was twelve when his sister killed that man. When they went into hiding, he had been worried about his sister, but only wanted to protect her from those who would want to hurt her due to her powers. Thus, he began searching for someone to help them.
One day he got a job at a cafe. He was to sweep the floors, and in return get paid in food. While doing so a man bumped into him. The man was arguing about some rubbish a few second earlier, and had begun to back away from the cafe owner slowly, shaking his finger. He hadn't seen Kage behind him, and thus had tripped over the young boy.
Well, the man took one look in Kage's eye and began talking rubbish again. Most of it Kage didn't understand- him being only twelve while this guy was going off on some theory about mutated genes to better the evolution of humanity. The man introduced himself as Dr. Simons, and offered to take him in to help him further his power.
The thing was, he wasn't the one with the power- his sister was. When he told the doctor this, however, he laughed and told Kage that he did indeed have power. He promised to help him find that power, but Kage told him that his sister would never trust the guy enough to go.
They set up a plan to trick his sister into going, and soon they had achieved that with a little bit of acting on both parts.
~Power~
He can stretch his own flesh and skin, creating it into any rough shape and hardening it to any length he chooses.

~Roleplay Example~
Kage panted, exhausted. It had been hours since he had rested, but he wasn't about to stop. He had a strong will, and he wouldn't give up. His sister had ditched training, again, but he liked it. He liked feeling that he could improve what he did know, and learn what he didn't know. He liked to find different techniques in order to defeat an enemy, and he liked feeling himself getting stronger.
Confidence was a luxury that his sister had, and he didn't. He knew he didn't have much confidence in himself, but he wanted to feel that he could trust himself with the power he was given. That was his drive to keep practicing without letting up; getting stronger so he could trust himself to save his sister. He didn't want to see her hurt, ever, and he definitely did not want to be too weak to put a stop to it.
"Left, up, knee- jab- release! In, jab, jab, release! Feint left, neck, up, knee, release!" He said, following the movements on the straw fighting dummy Dr. Simons had created for practice. Left- a punch to the left ribs, up- an uppercut to the jaw, jab- a jab to the stomach, knee- hitting the stomach hard with your knee, feint left/right- appear to attack in that direction, but really attack the opposite side, neck- an elbow to the neck, release- humping away to reposition yourself in the best possible way, in- getting up close quickly to deal the most damage faster.
~Name~
Zarain Willow Demitri (Zara)
~Gender~
Female
~Age~
20
~Looks~
Zara is compact, and strong. Even though she doesn't look tough, she is. She has short brown hair and brown eyes. Some people say her eyes are almost animal-like, but she can never tell why they'd say that. Her canines are only slightly longer than a normal human's, which can hardly be recognized as abnormal. She looks really good in black and red, and has a usually dark and caged look about her. She can often look intimidating if you don't know her, like one of those people on the streets you see and think they are about to attack you.
Her animal form is much like a wolf standing on two feet. She has dark brown shaggy fur and black markings covering her body. She has a medium length muzzle with large pointed ears much like a wolf's. Her eyes are dark brown/black in color depending on light, just like a dog's eyes will usually be.
~Personality~
Zara has been hurt her whole life by so many people that she has given up on letting people in. She doesn't trust people, and hardly even trusts herself. She's a loner, but only by habit and necessity than want. She actually wants to see someone loyal to her, and who won't burn her. She is very strong willed and pushes people away, even if it hurts herself more than them, but she never backs down. Despite her wish to be accepted and loved, she won't ever back down from her station, even if she knows she's on the losing end. She fights to the death, and maybe even beyond that. She never settles for less.
~History~
Zara grew up in a normal family with normal people, but she was never happy. Her family smothered her, made it hard for her to do her own thing. She was afraid of them and how they'd react to what she had as an opinion. Eventually this drove her into a shall of depression to the point where she had to force that smile and that laugh. Everyone believed her lie, but inside where no one could see- she despaired at the prison that her parents had created.
Zara had moved to different places her entire life- never to stay in the same place twice. She had to leave a lot of friends behind, never to see them again. In part she blamed herself for not telling her parents how much it hurt to leave them so much. All she wanted then was to find a home where she could feel happy, and stay there. Her father had been teaching her self defense, and her uncle mixed martial arts, but what would fighting give her in happiness? They just didn't understand, and every time she spoke up about it she was shoved back down and told that she was playing the victim and that she was an ungrateful child.
When she turned fourteen she found her power. She transformed for her first time when she had been sitting under the stars at night. To her, it was cool- but one more thing she had to hide from her parents due to the fear.
When Zara turned eighteen, the army had been wondering about her amazing abilities. Ever since she had found her power, she had been able to lift things not even her dad could lift, and found strength and agility enough to bring attention running. By the age of nineteen she was recruited by the U.S. military, but when they found out what she was, they captured her and tried to take her to a biology lab for testing. After staying there in a room with bulletproof glass surrounding her and small portions of food for meals, she escaped. Three days in there was enough, and they had hardly had time to take blood samples.
Ever since then she had been on the run, hiding from the government and trying to survive off of what little she could do. She went undercover, and made sure no one could find her. She knows they are still looking for her, but she never will let them.
~Power~
She can transform into a powerful wolf-like humanoid with brown and black fur.
~Crush~
None.
~Other~

~Roleplay Example~
Zara held her hands to her ears, blocking out the noises around her. She controlled her breath, erasing it as she prepared for her escape. They had found out what she was- only because of that idiot picking fights. She had lost her temper, and thus lost her human form with it. Now they were after her, and she needed to run.
As soon as the noise died away and she heard the last footsteps fade, she allowed herself to breathe slowly, quietly.
That is, until she felt the gun against the side of her head. She swore under her breath, glaring at the wall in front of her. Of course, she had training for situations like this, but so did they. If a soldier went rogue, they had certain things they needed to do. This was one of them.
"Zara, stand up slowly and put your hands behind your head." From the voice Zara could tell that it was a good friend of hers- Steven. He sounded emotionless now, most likely feeling scared and betrayed by her. She seemed to leave that impression to a lot of people lately.
Another soldier- one she didn't know- came and checked for weapons, taking a switchblade from her boot, a gun from the strap on her thigh, and the pocketknife from her belt before raising a gun to her as well. She was at their mercy now.
~Name~
Dr. Simons
~Gender~
Male
~Age~
53
~Looks~
He has gray, curly hair that once may have been black in his prime. It is balding near the forehead, revealing lines that adults gained, theorized that it was due to their glaring at kids all the time. He has thin rimmed, small square glasses and a medium build. He has kind grey-blue eyes and a nice smile, even when he's upset.
~Personality~
He is kind- much like a father in every way. He knows how to deal with teenagers and kids very well, and is easily liked. He can go off on a scientific tangent at any given time- which may or may not be his weakness. He is incredibly smart, and has the best methods of teaching, although sometimes he can forget that he is trying to make less intelligent people know what he's talking about and begins to use terms that only people who have been in the field their whole life could possibly begin to understand.
~History~
He had a normal life just like any kid- but at the age of seven he had the entire skeletal structure and organ systems memorized in human anatomy. He went to school, at first working with human anatomy and going on to medical school after that. Soon after he received a PhD in that field, however, he went on to study up on evolution. One of his friends then told him to read up on a bit of cryptozoology- the study of mythological creatures. As he read, there were many biological things with each animal that seemed to add up. He began reading more on biology and evolution, before finding a girl with peculiar traits that would not be found in most other humans.
After a while he theorized that the outburst of humans with odd traits was because the world was changing- and with it new adaptations for humans to control.
He began building an underground encampment meant to help protect those with odd traits- for he knew that it was because of them that humanity may yet have a future.
~Power~
Intelligence? He doesn't really have any power.

~Looks~
A tall, wiry fellow with brown-blond hair and pine green eyes that change to a very bright blue in seconds. He is strongly build for power, although he is also lithe and silent as well. He has tan skin and a mean-looking demeanor. It is obvious to tell that this guy is bad trouble due to how he stands and how he looks.
~Personality~
He looks as mean as he is. In all truth, he isn't very sociable and doesn't get along well at all with others. He's quite rude, and a bit seductive, but he can also be a powerful asset on any team. He's usually neutral- working for whoever pays the most, and does not care about emotions all that much. He demands respect wherever he goes, and won't do anything for anyone if they do not give him that respect as an individual. "Dude, you hire me- not turn me into a slave. I'll beat the h*ll out of you if you cannot treat me such." he will often say if he finds that his temporary boss is treating him like dirt, pushing him to work faster, or telling him how to do his job.
~History~
Josh grew up training with his father on how to fight. At the age of twelve he had mastered many martial arts, and technique training. By the age of nine he had memorized every pressure point and vital points of the entire body- and how to use them against the foe effectively.
After he turned fourteen, his father died and he lived alone- taking to the streets instead of being a good boy and going into state's custody. He lived well on the streets, finding paying jobs and becoming part of the criminal underworld. He was well known as a prodigy of battle for a time, but that has mostly died down now.
~Power~
He can make himself turn into sand.
