I joined in late September of 2009, after much lurking about, wondering what this whole "roleplay" thing was. I actually stumbled across this site searching for a Warriors (y'know - the cats... the book series?) game - like an actual video game. I'm glad I found this place instead though. It's much better than a game.

At the time this place was... well it was still huge. But oh, so much smaller than it is today! I don't think we had even hit 1 million posts yet. Crazy! The forum was also located on a different provider.

Things were so different then - each post earned you ONLY 2 FK, no matter the length. Plots were much smaller, and activity wasn't nearly as bustling as it is now.

I played around for a while before creating my first character, who I believe was an apprentice in Sunclan. Her name was Zebrapaw. :] I had several other characters then too, most of them loners.

I had fun in my newfound love of roleplaying. My writing skills were still rather undeveloped (but not completely horrible, thank goodness), but I didn't care. I enjoyed this place. It made me feel welcome, and I wanted to come on here in my free time - I spent hours upon hours here!

Sometime several months after I joined I was promoted to Bio Approver (now called something else, I believe?). The process was a lot different then. It looks so much easier now - imagine the advanced bios being a regular bio back then. Yeah. Lots of typing.

I forget exactly when we moved over, but one day in spring of 2010, we switched forum providers, causing an entire day (gasp!) of downtime. It was worth it though, with all the new features and much, much faster speed!

I was promoted to Moderator (there was no A-mod at the time) in Summer of 2010. The site continued to grow and change, with new features (free colored names, fk by word, customizable profiles, etc) added all the time. Did you know you had to pay for a custom title before? Now it's all free. :]

I started sports in Fall of 2010, and my activity began to drop. I wasn't able to keep up with school, sports, and also WCRPG, so I stepped back from staff for a while. It helped, but I was still just too busy to dedicate time to this place. So I decided to take a break for a while, and let my muse recover.

That break lasted from November-ish of 2010 to March/April of 2011. Yeah. Long time. I returned for a short while then, but something came up and I wasn't able to get on for quite some time. By the time I was able to access the site again, my interest has subsided and I didn't return.

And that brings me to present day. Now I'm back, after an entire year of nothing. :] Hopefully I'm here to stay!
