birchkit, lilykit, blackkit, briarkit, flamekit, and softkit tumbled down a slope toward a stream, flamekit pounced excitedly after a butterfly, while briarkit and softkit stayed silent and afraid. lilykit, blackkit, and birchkit were mewling for their mother. they had been lost for hours now. brairkit and softkit knew all too well that their mother was gone.

A black and white she-cat smelling of milk came over and found them.

brairkit looked up at the shecat. "who are you?" she mewled

"I am a cat looking for lost kits." She mewed to her.

"are you our mother?" lilykit asked

"Not really, but i would LOVE to adopt you and your brothers and sisters." She mewed.

lilykit leaned over to her sister, "whos going to tell them?" she whispered."they still dont relize what happened..."
briarkit looked up at the she-cat, "fine with me. just let them" she motioned toward the other kits, "know what will happen." she mewled

"Ok." She nodded.

briarkit and lilykit stayed next to the shecat

"Do you guys want to come live with me?" She asked

birchkit, lilykit, blackkit, briarkit, flamekit, and softkit all looked up at the she-cat. softkit stumbled over to the she-cat, while flamekit, birchkit and blackkit hopped over to her. they all exchanged looks. "yes" they all said in unison

"Ok." She purred and looked at them.

briarkit looked at her siblings

"I have a Clan. Would you guys like to join as my kits?"
