Shadefur was lying in the forest with her mate, Metalclaw. She looked at her newly born kits. There were two black ones and one dark gray. "Rosekit, for the black she-kit, Nightkit for the black tom, and Emptykit for the dark gray tom." Shadefur mewed. Metalclaw nodded his loving approval. "We better get them to camp." Metalclaw mumured and picked up Rosekit and Emptykit. Shadefur looked at Nightkit. Scrawny scrap of fur... She thought before picking up the kit. The both headed towards their camp.    Once they reached camp, they headed for the nursery and set down the kits. Shadefur laid back down around them. Shadefur's sister with her mate and kits were in the nursery also. "They are beautiful, Shadefur." Talonpelt, Shadefur's sister (Echoingfall)s, mate mewed. "Thank you." Shadefur mewed.
Nightkit backed up as Emptykit jumped at him. "Mouse-brain," Emptykit hissed. "you aren't a good team mate on this game!"
"Yea!" Citruskit (One of Echoingfall's kits) mewed. "Your disqualified!" He mewed loudly.
Nightkit's eyes widened. "I-i didnt do anything!" He growled.
"MOMMY!" Citruskit screamed.
"Yes?!" Echoingfall mewed quickly.
"Nightkit bite me!" Citruskit lied.
Nightkit gasped and stared at Echoingfall.
Echoingfall looked at Citruskit's brother, Yellowkit. "Is this true?"
Yellowkit nodded.
Nightkit backed up. Echoingfall, eyes blazing, looked at Nightkit. She swatted him with her claws and paws. "Go! Shoo!" She hissed.
Nightkit whimpered and limped off. He sat down so he could watch them play and he rubbed his cheek.
After a while of watching, they all went home. Nightkit had dozed off. He woke up in the middle of the night and saw he was alone. He gasped and ran for camp. "MOMMA! MOMMA!" He yelled. All of the warriors and apprentices emreged from their dens and herded around Nightkit. "Aww!" One of them snarled. "Its just a kit!"
Nightkit's tail flew between his legs when everyone went back to their dens to finish sleeping. He limped off to the nursery and curled up next to Shadefur. His eyes opened just to see Emptykit pushing him away. Nightkit sighed and curled up again on the freezing ground of the nursery.
The next morning, Nightkit woke up to find himself alone again in the nursery. He peeked out of the nursery to find Metalclaw, Shadefur, Citruskit, Yellowkit, Rosekit, Emptykit, Echoingfall, and Talonpelt all together. Nightkit went up to Emptykit. "Why didnt you wake me to play?"
"Because! Your nothing! All you are is a messed up, idiot with black fur!" Nightkit looked at Metalclaw and Shadefur but they were just sitting back to him. He looked back at rosekit and Emptykit but they moved their game farther away. Nightkit sighed. I guess i am just an idiot. Maybe thats why everybody hates me. Well, since everybody hates me, i will just leave!


Tears flew off of Nightpaw's face as he ran away from his mentor. He kept on running and running. He stopped when he though he crossed a border. He bumped into a black she-cat. "HEY WATCH IT!" She growled and turned around. "Nightpaw?!"
"Rosepaw?!"
"No its Roseheart now. And you are Nightfall."
"Well i thought you hated me." Nightfall growled. "Everybody does. Even StarClan!"
Roseheart didnt answer. "Come on."
They both walked to a camp. Nightfall looked down at his scratched up body. He thought about his bullied life. I am still an idiot. Nobody will change that. Nobody can change that. Nobody can change that everyone hates me!
