It was morning and Wavekit was tired. She got up, though, and padded into the forest. She wasn't supposed to, and she was tired, but even if she was tired, her paws itched to go outside. Wavekit saw a squirrel and let our a mrrowr and chased it, but the squirrel bonked into something black in front of Wavekit. A black tom stepped out. It was Coalpaw. "Doing something?" Coalpaw asked. "N-No..." Wavekit stammered. "You shouldn't be outside," Coalpaw reminded her. "I'm restless!" Wavekit protested, hoping the apprentice would believe her. Coalpaw hesitated but nodded.
