Yeah, I know how it will end, too. The sun will expand and engulf the Earth, causing the whole planet to disintegrate. That's just how planets die out. Of course, we'll be long since migrated to another world when this one ends, because that's billions of years into the future.

Yea we'll all be in StarClan by then XD kidding I mean heaven we'll be safe up high but I winder that I read in a few books that in 5 million years the sun will continue to shine but it will expand and leave the earth dark and we couldn't  live first because there would be no tree second because we couldn't grow crops and thrid we need sunlight to live but once again yay I'm not gonna die dis year XD

What I meant by another world was another planet in a different planetary system. Humans won't be going extinct anytime soon, all because of technology. Technology will lead us to a safe planet with a young star when ours becomes to large for this system to remain safe.

In about 5 billion years, our sun will have expanded to the extent where it engulfs the solar system. It will then contract and explode in a supernova. It will continue to shine as a white dwarf for a while, but will eventually die completely. And that's how the world will end. Not in some disaster on December 31st, 2012.
