Mudheart licked Shadowhawk's ear with affection."Thanks for teaching me how to skate." Mudheart smiled and skated to her den.

Shadowhawk went to the warriors den.

Mudheart went to sleep, trying to get a message from Starclan. She got hte message.She saw a kit, crying and freezing in the snow on Mudclan's territory. It was alone, and sad.

Mudheart woke up with a jolt."I have to find that kit!" she wailed as she lept out of her den and into the warriors."Shadowhawk!I had a dream from Starclan! Come with me."

Shadowhawk raced out of the warriors den"What is it?"he asked

"Just follow me!" she raced out sliding on her paws on the ice. She sniffed the air and smelt a slight odor of kittypet. She followed the scent racing through the snow and then skidding on ice. The odor got stronger and she could see a small shape in the distance.Mudheart ran towards it and as she got closer she made out the shape of a kit. She slowed down and padded towards the kit, being careful not to frighten it. The kit was a gray tabby with bright blue eyes welled with tears.

While Shadowhawk was running he fell through the ice."Help!"he yelled

Mudheart turned from the kit and saw Shadowhawk splashing in the cracked ice. She placed her paws carefully on the ice and skated like before. She slid to a stop at where he had fallen in. He was underwater now, she had no choice but to jump into the icy water.She plunged in and saw him sinking to the bottom. She swam down and grabbed him by the scruff. She paddled upwards with her strong front legs.She broke the surface and sputtered out icy water. She dragged him on to the shore and did cpr.He finally woke up and sputtered out water."Thank StarClan." She mewed.

"Thank you."he said trying to move but was too weak.

Mudheart shook her wet fur and went over to the kit."Hello there, what's your name?"

[.:Silenced:.]

The kit replied,"I-I'm Speckle, who are you?"

[.:Silenced:.]

"I'm Mudheart, leader of MudClan, where's your mother?"

[.:Silenced:.]

"A big scary, cat came and killed her. I ran away and he threw her body in a pond." The kit started to cry.

[.:Silenced:.]

"I'll take you back to my clan and you can warm up." Said Mudheart.She picked up the kit and heaved Shadowhawk on to her back. It took a while to get back to camp but they got there. Mudheart let the kit sleep in the leaders den and she gave Shadowhawk some strengthening herbs. Shadowhawk was walking again about an hour later.

Mudheart curled up with Speckle in her den and fell asleep.
