"Hike!" the clear words hit you like a knock on the head and you're off. The snow flies on each side from your paws, the snow that is hiked up from the dog in front of you flying into your eyes. You squint, trying to see past the sparkly white bits that were caught on the fur around your eyes. Everything passes in a blur as your team rushes forward. The four other teams struggle to catch up as you all charge forward. "Gee! Haw!" Commands fly out to you, and you move in the direction of each one. This is what you live for, this is the game of mushing.
