Her small white paws groped for her mother's belly and finally located a teat with her sensitive touch. Glowkit pulled herself carefully forward and attached herself to the teat, slowly sucking up the warm liquid.

After Glowkit drank her fill, the small pure white female curled up next to Mother. The newborn kit fluffed up her fur(turning her into a puffball) and yawned sleepily. Not long after, her breaths became deeper and heavier, signifying Glowkit was asleep.

Freedomkit curled next to Benniejet's stomach. The kit basked in the warmth that followed. How she loved to be warm. And with her mother. A squeak escaped her throat, more like an undeveloped purr.

Benniejet lay her head down on its side and closed her eyes.

Shatter gave Benniejet an affectionate flick with her tail, then she nudges the mouse over once more. "Eat. Birthing is hard, so I know you are hungry." The femme completely ignored the newcomer, except to glare daggers at the she-cat when she yowled her head off.

"Eh, not really that hard, but...I'd be lying if I said I was feeling just cozy while having them." Benniejet giggled. She ate the mouse in a few bites. "Thanks. That hit the spot." She still felt guilty taking such offers, but knew that was silly.

The shriek scared Freedomkit, and she let out a small whimper. She squirmed away from the source of the shriek, small ears ringing.

Benniejet picked Freedomkit up gently and placed her back down against her stomach with the others. She groomed her again, purring.

"Do you need anything, Benniejet?" Wrathstar mewed, looking down on the kits with love.

Glowkit made a couple of squeaking noises in her throat as she slept, curled up beside Benniejet.

"No, no...Just...um..well, a squirrel?" Benniejet looked at him a little guiltily, flicking her huge ears.

Shatter just looked at her sister, her expression sly and smug. "I believe I can remedy that," she purred, tail flicking. Then she paused, and thought. "Never mind. I'm pretty sure Wrathy here wants something useful to do. Isn't that right?" her strong, usually blunt voice was soft with teasing and affection for her sister's mate, the question was obviously directed towards the tom.

"It's not like he has a clan to run or anything." Benniejet winked. "Actually, soon as the kits are all asleep I'm going to go stretch my legs anyway. Only so long I can stay laying down." She laughed.
