"No!" Glowingpaw mewed, a little to loudly. "I-I mean, no, we aren't." He lowered his voice.

She saw the two cats and wheeled around.She hoped he was happy.She hoped that he had what he wanted.Because obviously that wasn't her.She dashed away,Her sleek fur catching in the long reeds and her paws tripping as she tried to get farther and farther away from him.

Emberpaw swung around to look at him, sadness gleamed in her eyes. "Really? I couldnt be sure." Emberpaw teased she tried to make her voice sound light, no such luck.

"She's a great friend, and like her a lot, but not that way." Glowingpaw mewed, wipping a small tear from Emberpaw's face with his tail.

Emberpaw started to clean her paws and her face, she pressed her nose affectionately against Glowingpaw's flank. "I'm so tired I think I could sleep for a moon." Emberpaw purred softly, as she tucked her legs under her.

"Same." Glowingpaw mewed, stretching and yawning.

"I dont want to go back to camp, I'd rather stay here." Emberpaw mewed as she cleaned her pelt.

"I'm fine with that." Glowingpaw murmured, curling up to sleep.

Emberpaw curled up next to him, "G'night Glowingpaw." Emberpaw murmured as she drifted to sleep.

Poor Shiverpaw was dashing away,Tears blurring her vision.What had done to deserve the pain that was eating her alive?Had the brown and white tabby not suffered enough?First she lost her brothers and then her father and the medicine cat doubted her mother would survive another moon.So of course she had to loose Glowingpaw to Emberpaw.

"Night." Glowingpaw mewed. "I'll look for Shiverpaw in the morning." He meowed to himself.

In the morning ....
Emberpaw woke up and saw Glowingpaw still sleeping, she purred as she smoothed her ruffled fur. She decided to just let Glowingpaw sleep so she got up and made her way back to camp, she knew she would surely be scolded for staying out all night.

Glowingpaw woke not knowing where he was, until he remembered the day before. "Ah, yes," He meowed to himself. "I had to chase after a girl. Never had to do that before. Emberpaw certainly is something." He purred and remembered Shiverpaw. "Better go look for her."

Emberpaw didn't go to camp right away she wandered to the river first then she ran through the reeds. She found herself going in a circle back to the river. She decided she would at least return to camp with prey to make up for her absence. Emberpaw waited by the river and made sure her shadow didn't hit the water, then her paw lashed out and hooked a fish, she slammed it against the ground snapping it's spine. She repeated this two more time. She took her catches and started to walk towards camp.
