Wolfflare of StarClan

--->
(The longhaired image needs edited once more pelts and such are made for that avatar maker. For now, this is what I have.)
Pelt: Silver chinchilla
Eyes: Green
Character Name: Wolfflare
Character Age: 22 moons (at time of death, looks about 12-14 moons now she's a StarClan cat, since she was at her happiest right after becoming a warrior)
Gender: She-cat
Alliance: StarClan (formerly RiverClan)
Rank: Warrior
Appearance: Wolfflare is a fairly large she-cat - tall with a stocky build. Her long pelt sports the silver chinchilla coloration and is typically slightly untidy, as she doesn't like to put any real effort into grooming until she's back in the camp for the night. Her tail is long and bushy and is - in her opinion - her best feature. Her ears are pointed and topped with silver fur tufts, while her inner ears are lined with white fur that feathers outward. Her eyes are a milky shade of green, almost jadelike. Her whiskers are long to compensate for her bulk and cluster thickly near her eyes as well as on her muzzle. Her paws are large with fur growing between the pads. In short, she's a cat well adapted for winter. Being young and inexperienced, she has virtually no scarring yet, at least none that shows through her long fur. She carries herself modestly, but with a spring to her step. Like all StarClan cats, her pelt is starry.
Personality: Wolfflare wants to impress those around her, and she's sensitive to any kind of criticism. She works hard at being the best warrior she can be and worries that her best will never be good enough. At the same time, she's honest, and cats who ask always know how she really feels or what she really thinks about whatever is going on at that moment. She's usually sweet and caring, but anger and fear can make her snappy, especially if the source of the anger or fear was someone putting themselves in danger or getting hurt needlessly. She likes to think the best of every cat, and the thought of a truly evil cat actually existing frightens her. She tries to treat everyone with respect - from the most senior elder to the leader to the youngest of apprentices and kits. To her, the entire clan is a team of equals, and everyone has an equally important part in the group's survival.
---Likes: Wolfflare loves swimming, rainstorms, kits and apprentices, hunting, and being useful and liked by her clanmates.
---Dislikes: Wolfflare dislikes death, trespassers, and bullies. She also dislikes being sick or injured (and thus unable to contribute to her clan) and when the river's full of fish that are too small to satisfy anyone's hunger.
---Strengths: Wolfflare is extremely loyal to her clan. She has no problems befriending cats of other clans, but she wouldn't dream of leaving her clan or taking a mate who wasn't also RiverClan. She is also a strong swimmer and well adapted for cold weather. She's fairly strong physically, and reasonably intelligent.
---Weaknesses: Wolfflare has been known to get lost in her thoughts until she becomes unaware of her surroundings. Her size and pelt color make it nearly impossible for her to hide, so she'd be a poor ambusher or hunter of anything other than fish. Where her size and body type have given her greater strength than average, they've compensated with reduced speed and greater difficulty climbing. In fact, she hasn't tried to climb since she was a young apprentice and is fairly certain she's completely incapable of it.
History:Wolfflare never knew her biological family. Her father died heroically saving another cat in a flood when her mother was still pregnant. Her mother didn't take it well and refused to take care of herself for the rest of her pregnancy. The other queens and medicine cat did what they could, and even managed to get her mother to eat for the sake of her kittens, but she was alarmingly unhealthy by the night the kits came into the world.
That night was one of the most difficult the queens assisting in the birth had known. Due to her mother's emotional state and health, none of the kits were healthy. One of Wolfflare's brothers and her sister were stillborn, and she and her remaining brother were sickly, with the brother dying before sunrise. As soon as she could manage it, her mother walked out of the nursery. She would never be seen alive again.
Another queen had kits that weren't much older, so she adopted the sickly she-kit and did everything she could to get her healthy. She named her Wolfkit, after her bushy silver and white tail. It was a struggle, and there were many close calls, but Wolfkit survived and even thrived under the queen's care. By the time she was able to walk, she was able to wrestle and run with the other kits, nearly all trace of weakness gone.
When Wolfkit was old enough to understand, the queen told her about her real family - how her father had been a hero and that her mother had gone insane with grief at his loss, and that her father and siblings were watching over her from StarClan, and that her mother was likely with them, though no one knew for sure if she was alive or dead. The news was devastating to Wolfkit, but her adopted mother was there for her, comforting her where she could. In time, Wolfkit learned to cope with the sadness and assured the queen that she was her real mother, despite not actually giving birth to her. Still, she wished she could have known her real mother and longed to meet her at least once.
The rest of her kithood was fairly normal, spent playing and getting into trouble and anxiously awaiting the day she was made an apprentice. The day finally came and she was assigned to a kind tom who was dedicated to her training, and his methods of teaching meshed well with her personal learning style. He even helped her search for traces of the she-cat that had given birth to her, though he held no hope of finding her. For about a moon, her life remained as normal, her days filled with training, patrols, and menial tasks like caring for the elders and switching out bedding. After that moon, her adopted mother died protecting the queens and newborn kits in the nursery from a fox that had broken in. Wolfpaw was heartbroken and wouldn't eat for several days, but - like with the news about her family - time healed the wound enough that she was able to find happiness in life again, and she found that if she focused on her training it was easier not to dwell on her adopted mother's death.
Nearly a moon before she became a warrior, she found her: a she-cat that exactly matched the description other cats had given her about her mother. She she-cat had been killed, but the body was too old to pick up a scent even to determine whether or not it had been a cat's doing. A look from some of the senior warriors confirmed that the she-cat was Wolfpaw's mother and that she was likely on her way back to the clan when she was killed. Wolfpaw was - once again - devastated, but the thought that her mother's last action was an attempt at returning to her and her clanmates comforted her somewhat, and she imagined the she-cat in StarClan, along with her family, adopted mother, and siblings, all watching over her and waiting for the day when she could join them again. Wolfpaw joined the other warriors and apprentices as they searched the territory for any signs of dangerous animals or rival cats, but she was unable to find anything suspicious and eventually she and the others were forced to give up.
For the rest of the moon, Wolfpaw was obsessed with her training, using every spare bit of energy she had to care for the clan or practice her battle moves. Time worked its magic - as it always does - and she once more learned how to be happy. This final time was the easiest - it would be the final time because she had no family left to lose and no reason to lose the friends and adopted siblings she had gained in her four seasons of life.
Then came her warrior ceremony, where she was named in honor of both her father and her adopted mother (Cricketflare and Flarewing, respectively). This was followed by sitting in silent vigil with the other new warriors. She then went to sleep in the warrior's den for the first time. She was reunited with a tom she had fallen for in her apprentice days and the two became mates, producing two daughters and two sons. The tom would later abandon her and take both sons and one of the daughters with him. Wolfflare never learned why she lost nearly all of her second family, and didn't even learn she had been abandoned rather than widowed until she joined the ranks of StarClan. The revelation still upsets her and probably always will, but she can't regret her short life. She strove to be a warrior RiverClan will remember forever, and passed everything she's learned down to two apprentices and her remaining daughter. She now watches over Berrypaw from StarClan and anticipates the day Berrypaw becomes a warrior and chooses a mate of her own. Hopefully, her daughter will have better luck than she did.
Roleplay Sample: (From a training thread between Wolfflare and her current apprentice)
Wolfflare wasn't sure how, but she had managed to get a decent amount of sleep the previous night. She was getting used to being a warrior, though the excitement had yet to die down completely, and being assigned an apprentice had stirred everything up again. She knew it was a bit early in her career for her to be training someone, but...well...it was Ashpaw. Many of the clan distrusted Ashpaw, due to the situation with her mother. Wolfflare herself had no problem with the new apprentice, and even felt sympathetic. Her own mother was dead, so she knew the pain the separation would have caused. She dearly loved the queen that raised her, but it just wasn't the same.
It was likely Wolfflare's lack of hostility toward the young she-cat that made their leader choose her over someone more experienced. Wolfflare would work as hard to help Ashpaw as she would any other cat. She would protect her, train her, and - hopefully - give her an ally amidst the sea of enemies she seemed to have gained from the unfortunate event.
The young warrior had been pacing around camp, waiting for her apprentice to wake up so she could take her on a tour of the territory. The sun had risen, and the young cat had yet to rise. It wasn't that they were running later, but Wolfflare was eager to begin and - if Ashpaw was anything like her on her first day as an apprentice - she was sure the younger she-cat was just as excited. She may have even found sleep difficult. Wolfflare purred as memories of her early apprenticeship played through her mind.
There's no harm in at least checking on her, right? Wolfflare thought to herself as she stopped pacing and made her way to the apprentice den. She stuck her head inside and looked around, spotting her apprentice after a moment. "Ashpaw? Are you ready?"

Berrykit: (Now Berrypaw)
Kit Name: Berrykit
Kit Personality (At least four sentences): Berrykit was named after Brambleberry (an elder that Wolfflare had always respected and who died while Wolfflare was pregnant), and - once she's old enough to understand everything - Berrykit will do her best to earn her name. She's fearless rather than brave because the concept of danger is foreign to her. It remains to be seen how brave she will end up being once she learns true fear. She's affectionate and hates being alone, to the point where she will actively seek company of any kind if she ends up by herself. She's playful, has a hard time taking anything in life seriously, and a bit clumsier than a normal kit. She tends to play rough, not understanding that she's capable of causing anyone pain.
Kit Appearance (At least four sentences): Berrykit is a silver shaded tabby with her mother's green eyes. She doesn't look very impressive right now, but she will end up stocky and larger than average with long fur. Her proportions are more or less average, though her paws are noticably large for her current size. Her whiskers will grow thick from above her eyes as well as her muzzle.

Dewkit: (missing!)
Kit Name: Dewkit
Kit Personality (At least four sentences): She is like a dark shadow, creeping along. You instantly know her when you see her. That is, if you even see her at all. Dewkit has a way for being invisible, unnoticed. It's not that she wants to be that way, it's just sort of her demeanor. She creeps soundlessly along, like a snake slipping through grass, eyes glittering at you from the gloom, watching, calculating, waiting. Her voice is low and seething, and has hidden layers to it that make you feel restless. Her personality matches her behavior. She loves to please, and feel important. It's not exactly a power thing, it's more like a need. Without praise, she feels unrecognized.
Kit Appearance (At least four sentences): Dewkit is a slender, fine boned she-cat. Her fur is long and feathery, and she has an especially long, plumed tail. Her fur is a coal black, and she blends well into the darkness She moves and slinks along like a shadow on water, her python-green eyes darting from side to side as she watches other cats. Her fur is long and fine, but is not fluffy, and drapes around her slender frame like a fringed shawl, moving with her as she moves. She has long, slender legs, giving her a rather graceful appearance from the outside. Her face has an attractive angle to it, and she would be a gorgeous cat, if she was not so overtaken by spite. Although her eyes are very green, there's almost no light to them, no laughter. Her face is like a barren wasteland - no warm feelings linger there. When she is angry however, her eyes seem to blaze at you, and her face is alight with her fury, alive like no other time, and she is a force of hell to be reckoned with whenever her emotions take over.
