Cats from flood aftermath return to camp!

Graypaw whips around, certain she hears pawsteps.  Where were they?  They are coming.  Suddenly there was a white flash before her eyes and she screeches, crumpling to the ground instantly without another word.

"graypaws in danger" blossompaw whispered in horror and she ran to the sound

Twigpaw followed them out of camp at a quick pace. "we have to help her!" she meowed picking up the pace into a run.

Graypaw lays silent, the same as before- but this time her face is blank, yet twisted in an expression of pure terror.  Her eyes are wide open but glassy, and her limbs twitch as if she is running in her fevered mind.

"i found her" blossompaw yowled and she raced down to her " whats wrong graypaw" asked blossompaw

"Its just us." Jaypaw sounded deep and timid.

Graypaw doesn't move or even acknowledge their voices.  She lays still despite the occasional jerk of her tense body, her tail limp and her jaw parted slightly.

blossompaw laid down next to her " comeon graypaw your safe" she said to graypaw

Twigpaw padded over and laid her war on graypaws chest. "her hearts still beating, a little slow but it's not stopped." she raised her head. "what should we do?"

" i dont know" blossompaw said worried "but she has to be ok becuase... i feel like we are related in some way"

To them Graypaw appears weak, horrified, small, but her mind is racing.

A cat, stalking through the undergrowth.  Pawsteps.  Another cat, closing in.  Graypaw was alone...they were getting too close, but she couldn't run- how could she?- and then there was another cat, yowling, screeching...  "They are coming!"  Horror filled her and then Graypaw was running, shoved along by the other cat.  Yowls exploded as suddenly others pursued.  Graypaw's breath was ragged in her throat...they were gaining...they were going to kill them, surely...

blossompaw saw here expression and looked around "graypaw there is nothing here' she said

Twigpaw looked around. "do you think we should try and give her poppy seeds for shock?" se asked

Closer...how could they escape?  Graypaw looked around in terror, her heart racing and her lungs tight from lack of air.  Anywhere- anywhere!  She had to get to safety.  No, it was too late!  They were there-!

"Graypaw!"

Suddenly Graypaw jolts back into reality, gasping, her chest heaving wildly and her eyes wide enough to show their whites.
