It is summer now, the elk and caribou have come and are of a plenty. Though there are challenges, a pup has become missing from the MacDuncan clan, and there is a Malcadh that has survived but won't join the clans. The skaars dancers have been coming again, but the Malcadh mentioned earlier has a splayed paw. That pup has the same paw as Faolan, will the two unite to find what the spiral means? The pup seems to be Faolan but so much younger. Will this great mystery be solved? Will the MacDuncan pup return?
