Heatherpaw waited for her turn

Kinkheart's mouth fell open. "Kinkheart?!" he yowled. His eyes widened, but he followed through with the ceremony. After he sat back down, he waited for Darkstar to turn to Heatherpaw. He slouched over, ears back.

Smallpaw let out a quiet mrrow of amusement at Kinkheart's reaction to his name. But it had been true. Had as in a few mintues ago. Kinkheart hadn't ever loved another she-cat except Heatherpaw. And he hadn't even realized it until a few moments ago. It had been the kink in his heart; he couldn't love any cat.

"Heather paw do you promise to protect and honor your clan ever at the cost of your life?" Dark star asked her.

Heatherpaw nodded."I do."Her eyes brightened.

"then by the powers of star clan i give you your warrior name, heather storm!" dark star said and he put his chin on her head.

Heatherstorm's chest fluffed out."It's beautiful."she whispered

Kinkeart licked Heatherstorm's cheek. "It's wonderful." he murmered. Snorting, he leaned away from the she-cat. "How come you get the cool name? Wanna trade?" he smirked and brushed his tail against her soft fur.

she smiled and laughed."I'm fine."

"running paw do you promise to honor and protect this clan even at the cost of your life?" dark star asked his apprentice.
"i do." running paw said.
"then by the powers of star clan i give you your warrior name running wind." dark star said and put his chin on running winds head. running wing licked his shoulder.
"kink heart! heather storm! running wind!" jay wing cheered. ice wing joined in.

Kinkheart pouted. "Fine." He chuckled and intertwined their tails. He waited for Darkstar to finish, cattish smile crossing his face. As soon as he closed his eyes, a pounding headache started in his head. Grimincing, he let Heatherstorm's tail go and laid his own down on his paws. Unsheathing his claws, he sunk them into the ground as it only grew worse. The pride that should have filled the new Warrior's heart was distant, blocked away by the pain he was experiancing.

running wind shook his head fiercely. dark star didnt notice.

Heatherstorm looked worridly at Kinkheart."Are you okay?"

Kinkheart straightened. "I'm fine." he growled. Standing up, Kinkheart stalked away from the group, head down and tail drooping. Looking at Smallpaw out of the corner of his eye, he disapeared into the Medicene cat's den.

Smallpaw watched her brother, a worried expression on his face. Slinking away after him, she disapeared into the den after him.
