Warrior Cats Hawkeye: Friendship

Hawkkit and Moonkit batted each other playfully, Moonkit was pretending to be Blackstar, the leader of Shadowclan, and Hawkkit, was pretending to be Froststar, Oakclan's current leader. Their mothers were watching them contently as they battled playfully, Brokenclaw, the current deputy, who was also Moonkit's father, sat with Pinetail, Moonkit's mother. "You will never defeat me Froststar!" Mewed Moonkit, "I will never fall Blackstar!" Mewed Hawkkit in reply, they battled until they were too tired to carry on, "mother" said Moonkit.
"Yes, Moonkit"
"Can we go and see the elders?"
"Tomorrow, maybe but now it's getting late, and you should be getting some rest" she said, Moonkit and Hawkkit went back inside the nursery and curled up to the comfort of their mothers belly, Brokenclaw returned back to the warriors den. 'I can't wait until tomorrow' thought Hawkkit, 'we get to see the elders'.

Hawkkit woke up, he yawned, "welcome back to the real world" said his mother, Shallowfoot. She had left some freshkill near by, Hawkkit walked towards it, sniffed it, then started eating. It was a mouse, his first mouse he had ever eaten, in fact, his first freshkill, it tasted like nothing else in the world, once he had finished eating he went to catch up with Moonkit, they walked together towards the elders. "They're getting apprenticed today" mewed Froststar, Pinetail had been asking her when they would be, the two bewildered kits were nearby, "did you hear that Moonkit? we're getting apprenticed, today!"
"yes I can't wait, it's going to be so exciting!" Moonkit replied, 'and tonight isn't far off either!' Thought Hawkkit.

Hawkkit and Moonkit stood under the the oak log, as the leader addressed them as apprentices, "from now on you shall be referred to as Hawkpaw, and Moonkit, you shall be referred to as Moonpaw" the ceremony was over, everyone started to congratulate them, Hawkpaw felt excited and nervous, because now, anything could happen.

Hawkpaw opened his eyes, he  walked out of the apprentices den, first day of training, Moonpaw was waiting for him, "come on! Let's get on with it!"

A few moons later....

Hawkeye and Moonheart padded up to the Sandy Oak, Riverclan waited here for them, lots of clans wanted to take over the Sandy Oak, the rest of Oakclan's Warriors and Apprentices were there, ready for battle, "Attack!" Yowled Froststar, the two clans launched at each other, Moonheart was wrestling on the floor with Leopardstar when he heard a yowl, Hawkeye's yowl, he kicked Leopardstar hard in the stomach, he got up as she fled, he ran over to were Hawkeye lay, a snarl left on his face and lots of scars down his belly, he was dead, DEAD! "HAWKEYE NO!" Hissed Moonheart, Hawkeye, his best friend, was now dead, gone forever....
