If you already belong to any other private, active {got posts in the past week} chat thread on this site, you may not join this chat. I created this specifically for people who have not yet found a circle of friends here and feel like they don't fit in.

If you join this first and find another private chat later, no, you don't have to leave this one I'd probably convert this to an open chat at that point and start another lonely players' club

Do you actively participate in any other private chats? If not, you can post here It's meant to be a place for players who have no other place here. I'd open it to everyone, but people who are comfortable extroverts tend to then take over it {through no fault of their own, of course} and crowd out newer/shyer players who are less sure of themselves.

I'm really shy chatting to others if they don't look new or anything... Mostly when I feel like they already have a load of friends, then I feel left out...

I think a lot of people feel that way. I have on other sites sometimes. Not here, but that's sort of because I'm such a long standing member and the owner, so I know many friends here. But we all start from the same place

Sure But make sure you follow the One Rule If you were in a private chat but   it didn't work out, and you aren't now, then you're fine in here. You are also obviously free to find one later.
