After school Alex was walking home when the pain in his eyes began to annoy him to much, sighing he sat down in the shade of a nearby tree to rest them.

Annie walked home from a boring day of school. She tripped over the uneven sidewalk and dropped her books. She cursed under her breath and began to pick them up.

[Professor Membrane]

Hearing noise Alex's head shot up and turned to the direction of its source. There was the girl bending over and picking up her books. Hesitantly he got up and began to help her.

"Thanks for-" Annie broke off as she looked up. Her eyes got wide and she was frozen in place, like a deer in front of headlights. It's him, she thought.

Alex's eyes locked with the girl. Trying to play smart he asked, "Is there something wrong?"

"Uh-" Annie stuttered. All the blood had drained from her face but she shook her head anyways. "I guess not." Her voice was thin and weak.

He looked her over then finally said, "No your not."

Annie just stuttered again. "I-it was you," she barely managed. "In the alley last night."

Alex narrowed his eyes, "So what?"

"Y-you had fangs," she said, and began to back away, after clutching her books to her chest with fear.

Alex shrugged, "You know I can't let you just let you walk away after what happened." as he said this he walked closer to Annie.

Annie gritted her teeth and was backing away quicker. "Stay away from me," she threatened.
