Near nodded, "safe at home!" he smiled. Well, getting Mia to tell him who she is searching for is not going to be easy if she keeps changing the subject. He looked down to his room, right beside L's, "well, I better be off now"

He walked off to L's room, he had to tell him about his capture today was not Kira. He knocked on the door and waited.

Mia ran up to Near"So you know who lives here"she said.

Near just smiled simply, he knew better not to tell any random person that L lives here, "he's a friend of mine, also my tutor for sometime" he looked at the door and knocked again.

Mia nodded"Oh so your friend lives here......... I'm not stupid I know who lives here and I don't think he'd be friends with a little kid"she said.

Age: Looks to be in his twentys, but unknown.
Gender: Male
Personality: L is the worlds most famous detective and is renown for his intelligence and crime-solving abilities. He is slightly parinoid. He is very quirky and has some strange habits. Has a calm composure and is not afraid of death.

History: Before getting involved in the Kira case, L lived at an orphanage with Near, Mello, and Matt. His past is relitivly unknown, but still attempts to keep in contact with the other Wammy boys.

Other: Well, he doesn't die like in the show..

L stopped going through the countless files on his computer when he heard a knock on his door. He furrowed his brow. That was a bit strange. Hardly anyone knew where he lived. He padded across his room to open the door, stifling a yawn. He was tired. This strange case had definetly sucked up most of his energy, and he had stayed up for what seemed like weeks investigating. True, he hardly slept anyhow, yet his face looked a bit more haggered these days. He opened the door, and there stood Near. L smiled slightly-he had always harbored a bit of a soft spot for the white-haired boy. "Hello, Near." he said in a bit of a monotone.

Mia went down the elavator.


Rin sat at home and looked around.


Mia got home and went to her room and started to write in her Death Note.

L stopped going through the countless files on his computer when he heard a knock on his door. He furrowed his brow. That was a bit strange. Hardly anyone knew where he lived. He padded across his room to open the door, stifling a yawn. He was tired. This strange case had definetly sucked up most of his energy, and he had stayed up for what seemed like weeks investigating. Near smiled, "today's case wasn't Kira sadly" he looked inside of the hotel, his hands around his rubric cube tightly. The encounter scared him a bit, it was his first case afterall.

IC: L shut the door behind Near. "Oh? What was the case?" he asked, going to pour some tea for Near. "It was your first, wasn't it?" he asked, noticing how tightly Near was holding his rubix cube. L remembered that, dispite his intelligence and status, Near was still pretty young. The encounter must have shook him up a bit. "I trust no one was hurt?" L asked, handing Near the tea before sipping at his own. L's cup was, as always, overflowing with sugar cubes.

Near walked inside and shut the door behind him, "a recent murderer that apprently set fire to a building when he escaped" he looked back at L, "no one got hurt but him"

Near sat down on the floor beside L, his head leaned against L's leg, all the same messing up his rubric cube once again, "what about you?" he hasn't visited L in a while and he knows on how L likes lesser cases than bigger ones.

L gave Near a rare small smile. "I have been keeping quite busy." he said, gesturing to the countless files stacked neatly on a table. "If it interests you, I believe that Kira is in Japan somewhere. I've been broadcasting a public message to different parts of Japan. Now, all that's left is seeing if the killings alter. Judging by the times of day the most murders are commuted, I'd say our Kira has an occupation- that or he may be a student." L clicked on the news site on his computer and frowned. "Hang on..Near, I think the killings have started up again! But that would mean.." L scrolled down on the site, analyzing the list of crimminals intently. He began to chew on his thumbnail, the way he always did when he was thinking. "That blows my hypothesis out of the water.."

OOC: It's because Mia wrote in her Death Note, in case you were wondering.

Rin looked up as she heard the door"Mia's home"she thought.

Mia wrote other names in the death note that had been shown on TV.

Near nodded slowly, strange how when Mia left the killings started again...

Just then his phone rang and he pulled it out of his pocket, it was from Head Quaters! He put the call on video chat and saw Misa smiling at him, "congrats on you first case Near!" she exclaimed.

Just then Matsuda came in and pushed Misa aside, "Misa I told you that we are going to do that when Near comes back!" unaware of Near still watching.

Misa just pouted, "why does it have to be when he comes back?"

Matsuda looked into the computer with Near watching, "sorry about that Near-"

He was cut off when Light charged at Misa, "Misa! Give back my pen!!"
Misa just ran around the Head Quaters, waving the pen out and about in the air, laughing. Near was confused, what is Light and Misa doing in Head Quaters?

Light manage to corner Misa infront of Near's view, Matsuda yelled at them, "would you guys stop that?!" he walked over and grasped onto Light's chain on his left hand,  it was just long enough for him to hold onto, "Light, quit it!" he started to pull Light back from Misa as Light grasped at the air between Misa and him.

Near just sat by in L's room, blinking confused.

OOC: Light isn't the origanel Light, his full name is Light Ratio, so he and the current Light dont get messed up. I'll make his form when I get on my computer.

Mia stopped and got back up and went outside.


Rin walked into Mia's room and found the death note,then ran outside,she ran to the hotel and knocked on L's door.
