Gwendolen came out of class, buried in a book. Her mother published a book about Nargles, and it was fascinating.

"that new dark wizard has Aunt Angelena, Uncle George, Uncle Bill, Aunt Flure, and grandma and grandpa  Wesley."

"What?!" Rhaegar stared at her in shock. "We-we've got to get them back!" she stammered without thinking much about it. "Molly and Arthur, too?" Her eyes were hard and, as is rare, cold.

"Yeah..." Her attention returned to the Slytherins. "People will notice we're gone."

"We aren't out to save the world, though. Just half of everyone that we care about. Anything else you've heard? Who told you?"

There was a piercing cry that broke the air around her for a moment. She looked up and saw her elf owl, East, soaring towards her at top speed. "Oh, God oh God oh God..." she muttered, relieving him of the letter and fumbling to open it. She she saw it, she stared at the words blankly.
"My...my Dad's in St. Mungos....they said it was poison. He'll be alright, he's just recovering..." She looked up. "Somebody is trying to stop the heroes." Her eyes were suddenly filled with a fierce determination. "Glaedryr(the Dark Wizard) will be surprised to see has failed."

"anything on my family. I hope Uncle Harry is ok. I have to go tell Hugo ,ooh and victory come with me to tell her  pleas."

Rhaegar watched her for a moment, then simply nodded. She scribbled a reply hastily to the message and re-tied it to East, who flew off after she thanked him and gave him something that looked oddly like a Bertie Bott's Every Flavor bean. She looked at the odd Lestrange boy again.

As they left Rose fainted

"Rose, are you - Rose!" Rhaegar bent, almost falling, and caught her head and shoulders. "Gosh, Rose." She laid her down carefully and watched her anxiously. "Are you-" she began. Her voice sounded odd, but just slightly. Parseltongue.
