Rose's body was limp. One eye was half open. Finally she regained her conciousness. "Yeah I'm fine." she rubbed her head and winced, finally aware of the sharp pain in her ribs.

Abigail sighed and started walking.

Kyo rolled his eyes as he saw her wince.

"Yeah, you sure look okay." he said sarcastically. He could tell she'd been hurt, and it made him want to go knock those two guys around until they couldn't move.. Wait. Why would he be so protective of her…?

"I'm fine I swear!" Rose sat up and bit her lip, hoping the pain from moving didn't show too much.

Kyo shook his head, looking at her in annoyance.

"No, you're not. You're hurt." he said, annoyance in his tone as well. He didn't know much at all about medical care, so he wasn't sure what he'd do to help, but he at least needed to get her to stop causing herself pain by trying to move too much.

Rose narrowed her eyes in defeat. "Fine. Yes, I'm not okay. Satisfied?" she gazed at him with large brown eyes, which were shining in a challenging way.

Abigail felt like some one was watching her, but she wasn't sure... She kept walking.

Kyo narrowed his eyes slightly, before he rolled his eyes again. He then looked behind them, where the two scouts had already disappeared.

"Look, we better get out of here before those guys come back with more of their friends." he said, looking back at Rose.

"Can you walk?" he asked, a little gentler than usual, standing up.

(Hint, hint- stumble, meow)

"I-I think so." Rose staggered to her feet and took a step, only to trip on a stick.

[wow....pathetic. I had higher expectations for her ]

Kyo stepped forward as she tripped and reached a hand out, grabbing her shoulder to steady her. He stood beside her.

"You okay?" he asked in slight concern.

(Not what I hinted at… oh well… and LOL!)

Rose turned and gave him a sarcastic glare. "Of course I'm not!"

Abigail stepped forward and screamed in pain when she stepped on a trap not knowing.

Rose perked, attention caught by the scream. "What was that?"

(Oh. Well now I feel stupid for not getting what you were doing... oh well. I'm sure it'll happen eventually)

Kyo perked up as well, looking in the direction of the scream. His expression was no longer calm, eyes narrowed a bit and his mouth set in a small frown.

"…I don't know. But we're about to find out. Come on." he said, walking through the forest towards the source of the scream.

(Do you mean something like a bear trap, or like a hanging trap- y'know, you step in the middle of a rope circle, and it tightens around your ankle and pulls you up to hang upside-down from a tree branch?- that Abigail got caught in?)

Rose staggered to her feet, holding in a gasp. She straightened herself and walked up behind kyo.
