'My name is Joy Greens. I'm from District 7. My family was in tears when my name was called. They will most likely never see me again. Joy was trying her best to remember who she is so the Capitol people don't change her. Her prep team was taking measurements to make her outfit for the first introducing of the tributes to the public. Her best friend had been chosen as the male tribute making this even harder for her.

I stand still while my prep team made last-minute measurements to my outfit for the Tribute Parade. I begin wondering what my District parter is like, since I really don't actually know her. The idea of formimg an alliace pops into my head. It really does sound like a good idea, having someone by your side to help protect you, until I begin thinking of when the competition starts narrowing down.

Her prep had finished taking measurements and were now rushing around like fluttering birds trying to make her outfit. She had seen designs of it and it was the same design as the other years: a dress that appears to be made of leaves with shoes and a hat. "So, who's my District Partner?" asked Joy. "You'll learn soon!" said a prep team member in the ridiculous Capitol Accent.

Joy came out with her stylist, Fawn, and saw her District partner. She walked towards him and stood in front of him. "Hi, I'm Joy. You are?" She held out her hand for a handshake.

Only you do!" exclaimed Fawn as she ushered them onto the carriage. "Hold your heads up high!" Joy looked over the side of the carriage. "Whoever fell over the side of the carriage while it was moving would be in big trouble." "Hold his hand if your scared then! It'll be cute!" said Fawn to her. Joy held out her hand. "May as well."
