Nim reacted instantly, rushing up to her friend and pulling him away from the thunderpath. "Are you okay?" She asked, panic-striken.

Ashes got up briskly and shook her off, a bit annoyed. A bit at her for acting so mother-like but more so at himself for falling over."Yeah, fine, thanks." As soon as the car rushed past he scampered across as fast as he could, flicking his tail for them to follow.

Nim shuffled her paws and waited for the rest of the mice to pass before following, all the way at the back. She scurried across the thunderpath, legs moving quickly. For the rest of the trip, Nim followed in the the very back.

Ashes leaped at the last moment and landed in a rough patch of grass. He looked around, wondering which way to go. He turned to the other mice. "We'll have to rest now, because we need to follow the North Star at night. And there will be less predators and humans." He drew an X on the ground, and stamped it with a foot. "Find a place for the night and meet back here at dawn," he said, feeling proud of his confidence.

Nim sighed and padded towards a thick bush, resting in the piles of leaves.

Just as Ashes was about to rest in an empty apple cider bottle, he saw another mouse approaching. "Hello," he greeted. "I'm Ashes." he meowed cautiously, wondering if this mouse was going to be friendly or not.

Nim glared at the newcomer  and rolled her eyes, soon closing them to go to sleep.

Joey saw her roll her eyes.. He thought it was very dumb of someone to do that.

Nim curled into a tight ball, wrapping her thin tail over her nose and placed her belt, sword and feed bag onto a leaf nearby.

Twitch looked at them from the shadows. He blended in well due to his black coat of fur. Slowly he brought himself down with a rope and when he got close enough he poked one of the mice.

Ashes turned, twitching his whiskers. "Oh. Hello." he meowed, wondering where all these mice were coming from. "Please, who are you?"

"Shh" He said and picked him up by the paws and put him on a high gate. A nearby group of alley cats hissed
