It was dark, the sun long set over the horizon and finally giving the moon a chance to rule, cloaking the world in its dark, leery glow. Sorna had always thought the moon was a selfish thing. Why else would it make everything dark, coating it in a thick inky blackness so it could only be seen? The center of the worlds attention? But maybe that was she who only thought those things, after all she was a very selfish being herself.. wasn't she? No kind soul would leave her kingdom of dirt to fend for itself, let alone a mate to wonder and worry.
But she had done all of that, without a second thought. Her mind had been clouded by her mothers death, and perhaps now that was what had made her this way: her mother. But she hated that she seemed to always look for a way to blame her dam for her mistakes, because they were no ones but her own. The brown tabby had been dreading this, when peace would settle over the Elite and she wouldn't be able to hide from Nero any longer. She could see that he wanted to speak with her, it was clear as day. And honestly he had a right too, she just hadn't felt up to it quite yet.
There was no hiding the talk now though, with the kits sleeping peacefully and safe. Even though Sorna had left the Elite, it seemed quite a few of the cats that resided here still held her in high respect, and she had no problem finding a couple of trusted females to watch them. Sorna didn't know if the black tom would be sleeping, but it was a chance she would have to take. Her small jambi paws were quick as she made her way easily along the walls, and she found her way to him in no time.
"Well. I assume I can't put this off any longer." The female sat a tail lengths away from him, swallowing as her eyes moved to her paws, tail wrapping around her almost like a comfort blanket.
