Sephire shied away from the painting, hiding her face.

Garry looked back at the girl, "Hey, hey, what's wrong now?" he glanced up, but the painting meant nothing to him. nothing at all. He grabbed her hands and forced her to look at him, "Sephire, what happened?"

"M... My parents," she whispered. Sephire was shaking with fear and closed her eyes so that she didn't see Garry or the portrait.

Garry frowned and looked at the picture again, "Huh... how is that possible..." he looked over to the girl and picked her up. She didn't seem to be in the condition of walking. "Lets find a place were you can lay down alright." She felt herself be moved and placed down in another room.

Sephire opened an eye. "Are they gone?"

"All gone," He assured her. He took off his large tattered jacket and put it over her, "Why don't you get some sleep, you must be tired."

For a moment, Sephire eyed him suspiciously before closing her eyes. "You should rest too," she mumbled as she drifted off to sleep.

Nightmares filled her sleep.

Garry was looking about the room, flipping through books, looking for some answers.

Sephire tossed and turned. There was no refuge in sleep. She tried to keep the nightmares at bay by picturing a pure, bright light, and only focusing on that.

Garry noticed her restlessness and nudged her awake, "Hey, are you alright?"

"Sephire opened her eye. "Let me sleep," she murmured before going back to sleep. Though her dreams were filled with nightmares, she was so tired.

Garry shrugged and tucked the jacket securely around her. "All right then." He went back to reading, awaiting her to awaken.

Sephire was sleeping more deeply than before, though she did have a nightmare or two.

When she  awoke garry was sitting next to her, flipping through a book. he turned his head and smiled when he saw that she was up, "There you are. how was your nap?"

"Better than the last," Sephire said simply.
