Rain purred and bounded over to Gray from the fresh-kill pile, and nuzzled her affectionately. "You're a wonderful mother."

Falcon awoke and pounced on his sister, Snow.

Snow jumped awake, and lashed out at her brother. "That'll teach you not to wake me!"

Leaf yawned and rose from her nest. She glared at her quarreling siblings and padded down the tunnel that led to the main cave.
