Saga where secrets come to light hugged herself with her own, cloud-like tail. It wasn't all that chilly out, but it was a habit of the white she-kit's. And right now, the she-cat felt alone. Nissel and her family left for Snowclan, leaving her father and her sister beyond repair. Her father and the white she-cat have always been friends, but Jericho and Swinger? Aside herself, Jericho was the blue she-kit's best friend and they were being ripped apart. Saga herself also missed the chocolate and white tom, but she didn't have that connection with him. Not at all.

So while her sister wallowed, Saga was left alone. All alone. Getting to her paws, she hummed softly, swaying from side to side. She then began to dance slowly, her humming getting a bit louder. She just wanted to do this to calm herself down. Have herself focus on something else, but in the back of her mind all she could think of was Swinger.

It was quite surreal to see an image of yourself before you, submerged in the crystalline waters, mirroring every detail. Every detail . . . aside from what you wanted to see.

It was just a few nights ago when raid on the Pro-clanners had invaded their lands. They had killed people. Innocent people . . . families; families that didn't deserve to be torn apart from one another. Thunderclan, Riverclan, Shadowclan and Windclan were the enemies, they were nothing but disgusting, malicious . . . evil. They had killed his mother . . . and from this day Maikol had never been able to forgive himself for that. He could have been there for her. But he wasn't. He had been too young to do anything.

Deep scars divulged across the Grandmaster Knight's face as he stared downward at the shimmering crevices of the stream, revolted from what he saw. The Proclanners had managed to take back their leaders - they had won the battle, and ever since, Kol had never really felt quite the same. He had promised Saga he'd be safe, that'd he'd win this for her and that they could have finally be together; but all Maikol could believe was that he had lied to her. He lied to his best friend.

Through gritted teeth and narrowed sun-yellow orbs, the orange and white tabby squinted his eyes as he flinched back, raising his shoulders and lowering his head. In one quick, angry moment, the tom threw his arm forth, scoring it across the surface of the water as mist caressed his face and narrowed eyes tinged with hot tears. All he could think of was Saga.

At the sound of splashing water, Saga abruptly stopped and cringed. She was still out of her mind scared of Proclanners. She still caught herself thinking about it. The battle. She had hid with her brother Genesis, her face hidden in his white fur. The noises. They were so loud. The yowls, the screams, the cries. Saga thought someone was going to find them, the two bleached children of Sacred and Aria huddled together in a hole in a wall. But Aria had come for them later, a deep scar down her chest. But they were all okay, her mother, her father and her siblings were all alright.

And all that was left was Maikol.

Her heartbeat slowing back down a bit, she took uneasy steps towards the noise. And then full out began tredding towards it. And then the familiar pelt of her best friend came into her view. Kol... Tears springing into her odd eyes, she began to run at him. "Kol! KOL!!" He was okay! In her mind he was safe, and he won. He had walked away with his life.

[ Actually, can we say this was after Clouds's death, and he's deputy now? ]

Anger and disbelief had soaked up his inside like a sponge . . . regret . . . humility . . . shame. It was all he could feel. All he could see in himself. The gentle mist had begun trickling down his yellow fur as the tom took an uneasy step back . . . only to fall to his paws, holding himself up with his fore as his head bowed before him and tears continued to puddle below his paws. He just couldn't help it. He was breaking . . . from the inside out.

But it was her voice that suddenly filled his thoughts.

His crying hadn't stopped . . . nor did his violent shaking. His chest heaved . . . his lungs burned . . . he had felt empty. He couldn't bare to let Saga stand there and see him like this. He couldn't let his family, or the rest of Scarclan see. He didn't want to seem powerless . . . weak. But to lose your mother and father, and to realize that you really are alone is the damn world - it all had to come to you sooner or later. And this was his time. This was his melt down.

Maikol had finally worked up the courage to turn his attention over his shoulder towards his white girl, his face seeming to be pure red from the blood that rushed upward . . . the tears the dampened his cheeks - the pain that continued to hold on and never let go. Saga . . . his white girl . . .

. . . no. She was never his. He was never supposed to feel this way about someone before . . . not after he had broken it off with Event. To say that Saga was his . . . it was the most horrible thing he had done to someone. She - she was priceless . . . young . . . full of so much possibilities for her future. She wasn't a kit anymore, his friend had grown older since they had met . . . She had grown into a princess that didn't deserve a fallen warrior like himself. But, as Kol stared at her with wet yellow eyes, part of him wanted her to leave . . . but the other part, the more domiant part, wished she'd stay . . . stay with him.

[ sure ^^ ]

Saga where secrets come to light slowed as he his scarred face looked to her, and her odd eyes stared boldly into his crazed yellow ones. It briefly ran across her mind that she should rush to get Dust or Space, since this was the first -- and hopefully the last -- time she had ever seen Maikol so close to falling over the edge of his sanity. But, the young kit remained, immoble.

Her nose lifted, trying to catch anything irregular about the deputy's scent. But all she could smell was him and water. Her ivory paws trekked forward, a soft murmur amounst the grass and dirt. Saga's eyes remained on his face, her pace never changing even as she neared him. He was breaking, the one who said he would win the Gladiator Games for her, win the war for her. One of the most strongest cats she knew was falling to pieces, becoming mere dust in the wind ... and Saga wouldn't let that happen. ... She couldn't. She cared for him too much.

The white femme moved close to him, rushing her head into his shoulder. She breathed him, hearing the soft bass beat of his heart whisper into her paper-thin ears. "Kol." She murmured, not really having anything to say but that. Kol. Kol. Kol Lifting her head, she stood on he tip-toes to lick the spot between his eyes. Her mommy always did that to her dad when he was upset, and it always made him smile that sad-like smile of his. Hopefully, that magical gesture would work it's charms and do the same to Maikol. Saga loved it when he smiled, it made her feel warm and fuzzy inside.

"... I'm sorry, Kol ... I'm so sorry." She whispered to him, pressing her nose against his. Odd blue-and-orange eyes stared carefully into his tear-filled yellow ones. Saga then rest a paw atop his own. A salmon pink tongue then rasped across his cheek, doing the same on the other a moment later. The salt of tears now fresh on her tongue, she then whispered to him. "I'm gonna be strong for you, Maikol. Okay?"
