A loner wolf needs a mate

Midnight stopped by a tree and tried to climb up.

Altair raced after Midnight. He saw her trying to climb a tree and positioned himself by it. "Here, jump up using me!" He said.

Midnight looked down" NO YOU GUYS HIDE!" she said making it to the first branch.

Altair was surprised at how fast she got into the tree. He shook his head and with his powerful hind limbs, for which he was named for, he leaped up onto another branch, beside Midnight.

Bane leaped up into the tree Midnight was on and pulled her up to a branch hidden by foliage.
"We should be safe here." He said to Midnight.

Altair was taken aback when another wolf had managed to climb up the tree. And there goes Midnight He thought. He huffed and looked down for any pack wolves following.

"Here they come." she whispered right before about 20 wolfs came storming through. Midnight held her breath and she climbed on an extreamly small branch. The branch snapped and she went falling right in front of the leader.

He attempted to catch her by the scruff of the neck.

Altair gasped and leaped down beside Midnight. Moving in front of her, he growled, hackles raised at the pack of wolves.

He leaped down as well, and recognized his former, bloodthirsty pack, the reason he was in that mess.

Midnight frowned and stepped in front of Altair. She raked the leaders face not knowing she was brave enough.
