Darkheart passes through Shadowclan Territory

Darkheart was born into Shadowclan. When she was an apprentice, the leader, Poppystar, died and her brother, Poisontooth, was chosen as leader. They both hated each other. One day, Poisonstar asked Darkheart to take a walk with him, alone. When they got into an unclaimed clearing, Poisonstar attacked her, so she fought back, killing him. After that, she became a rouge/loner.

Darkheart's muscles tensed as she took her first step into Shadowclan territory. She hadn't set paw in that place since she was part of it. The strong stench hit her nose.

Splashgaze was stalking a toad. She rawled forward on her belly, not making a sound. When she was about to pounce, a unfamiliar cat scent hit her nose. She stood up, and the toad leaped away. "Mouse dung!" She cursed. She looked around for the cat that had distracted her.

Darkheart took another pawstep. She sniffed the air and a cat scent hit her nose. It was close, to close for comfort, but she had to face it. She unsheathed her claws just in case.

Splashgaze pinpointed where the other cat was. It was a she cat, a loner.. Yet, there seemed to be a hint of ShadowClan in her scent. "Who goes there?" She called out.

Darkheart narrowed her eyes and scanned the bushes and trees. There certainly was cat scent around. She shook her head to try and clear the scent. I can't believe I was born here! she thought

Splashgaze got down on her belly and creeped forward. She could see the cat now. A grey tabby with purple eyes. She growled warningly and unsheathed her claws.

Darkheart saw the cat now. She crouched and hissed. "Who're you? Back off!" she hissed.

Splashgaze hissed. "Don't tell me to back off! This is Shadowclan territory. You are not supposed to be here, loner!" She leaped out and aimed to land on her back.

Darkheart lept out of the way. "Hey watch it! I was born in Shadowclan, y'know!" she hissed.

Splashgaze whirled around and faced her. She stopped, staring at her curiously. Whyd did she smell so familiar..."Deathheart?" She mewed. She had been an apprentice when Deathheart had been in her Clan.

Darkheart looked at the cat. "Splashpaw?" she meowed, tilting her head slightly.

Splashgaze puffed out her chest. "It's Splashgaze now...Why have you come back?"

Darkheart shuffled her paws and looked down. "Well, remember how Poisonstar's body was found all bloody and beat up in that clearing?" she asked.
