Splash smiled. "Moss ball!" She flicked a small ball of moss she had with her into the air. "We try to keep it from each other!"

"Okay!" The blue kitten mewed, jumping up and trying to catch the mossball, but with no success.

Splash waited for it to hit the ground. She swiped the ball away with her paw.

The blue kit tried to snatch the ball from Splash, but, having no experience with this kind of stuff, she failed again.

Seeing The blue kit fail, Splash tossed her the moss. "Here, you try to keep it away from me."

"Thanks." The blue kit mewed, trying to hide her embarrassment. She swiped the mossball and sent it tumbling away, but started running after it. The she-kit waited for Splash to get there so that she could defend the mossball.

Splash hurried after the kit. She aimed to swipe her paw out at the moss.

The kitten pushed the ball away before Splash could get it, smiling inwardly at her tiny accomplishment. She then swiped the ball away from them both, but ran at it, this time slower. She was getting worn out.

Splash was getting tired too. Maybe thats why she ran into the cave guard. She fell down on her back. The tom towered over her. "Watch were you are going!" He growled. She relized with a small gasp that it was Serpent in Dark Waters, one of the strongest cave guards.

The blue spotted kitten jumped when she heard a tom's deep voice. She angrily stormed up to the cave guard, lashing her tail. "It was just an accident. You don't have to yell like that just because she bumped into you!"

Serpent glared at the kit. "You are not from this Tribe. Who are you?" He demanded. Splash glanced at the kit, trying to tell her to hold her tounge and tel him what he wants to hear.

The kitten puffed out her chest and angrily glared back up at Serpent. "My name is Screeching of the Night Wind, daughter to Opal that fell in Soot, who is daughter to Leopard that Stalks the Night. And who are you?"

"Serpent in Dark Waters." He lowered himself to her height. "You need to watch your tounge, small one."

"My name is not small one. And if you can say whatever you want, I will too." Night mewed.

Serpent growled and raised his paw, about to strike when Ice on Mountain Peak padded up. "Serpent! We do not strike kits!" She hissed. He glared at her, but lower his paw. The guard stalked away. Ice turned to the two kits. "You should know better then to make him angry." Splash hung her head. "Yes mother..."
