A Never-ending Search... {O, Guys}

Time blinked again, reaching into his pocket for the thinking sphere but found out it wasn't there. He must've forgotten it when he was having that mad dash down the road. But then... how could he-

"Hey Cara!" Mike inturrupted his thought, the blonde was waving over to Cara on the other side of the road, "what's happin'?" he called.

Cara jumped when she heard her name, glancing around. She saw Time and Mike and smiled cheerfully, walking over. "Nothing much."

"Guess what?" Mike smiled, "Time's airplanes went flunk again- OW!" he rubbed his head as Time hit him hard on top.

Time was clearly fustrated, for that he was mutely shouting at Mike to shut up. Then he relized he wasn't talking so he just looked away.

Cara watched, glancing at Time. Something seemed different... Then she realized he wasn't talking again. "What happened to the sphere?" She asked curiously.

Time pointed back to where he came from, back home, as he tried to signal he forgot it.

Mike nibbled on a corner of his chocolate, glancing at Time, "say, weren't you talking a few minutes ago? What's with the silence now?"

Cara nodded, then looked at Mike curiously. "He was talking?"

Time started mute talking, mouthing out words really. Mike looked at him anrily, "stop acting already!" he nudged Time.

The boy looked at Mike and tried again, not having much success but the words, "not acting"

Cara took out her notebook and pencil from her pocket, holding it out to Time.

Time scribbled down his sentence, 'seriously, I'm not acting' and showed it to Mike.

Mike narrowed his eyes, "but you just said..." he sighed, "whatever, if you're voice is coming back then it would need time"

Cara half-listened to them, wondering what preparations they were making in the village.

"So what exactly is the Hunt again?" Mike asked, "I'm really not good at remembering unnessacary things"

Time shot Mike a warning look trying to say that he shouldn't be so rude but his voice failed and Mike was just ignoring him now.

"It's like.. A big group of creatures, they roam the world, blah blah blah..." Cara trailed off slightly.

Mike smiled, "and why exactly the fact you can't go? You say stronger elves but I think it's more than that"

Time punched Mike lightly on the shoulder to tell him to stop but again Mike was ignoring.

Cara sighed. "It's just the way things are," She said finally.

Mike rubbed his arm as Time punched him harder, "what? What did I do?"

Time face palmed and stuck his tongue out at Mike, then looked away.
