ShadowClan Refuees.

Personal Message (Offline) Captain Kirk

Phoenixstar was tired from the journey and his wounds were many. He'd lost a life by making a foolish mistake to return to his clan. Pagennight had taken over and now he had to fight for his clan. He had to take Pagennight out.

The black leader was leaning against Wildfire. One of the warriors who had come to his aid. He looked around DarkClan but his eyes had a glossy look to them. He was tired and needed medical attention for his wounds. And he needed to find his brother, Serpentsnare.

Irony leaned on the other side of Phoenixstar, trying to keep him steady and up. Infections from the ex-Merlin's wounds overpowered the other scents, but the heavily scarred tom pulled through it, managing to let out a strained yowl to the cats of Darkclan. "Hey! We need a Medicine cat over here!"

Personal Message (Offline) ClouÐ

Chaz perked up at the words 'medicine cat'. He'd been rather exhausted with recent events, however was always eager to come to someone's aid. Making his way out of the den, he was shocked by the sight of Phoenixstar in his sorry state. Immediately rushing to the wounded cat's side, the medicine porcupine watched him with a concerned gaze. He turned to the other cats surrounding the former ShadowClan leader. "What in StarClan's name has happened here?"

---

Grimhaze lagged behind the rest of the group, panting heavily. His vision was beginning to swim, and he could hardly stand at all. Grateful as they finally arrived upon DarkClan leader, the warrior collapsed near the entrance. His chest heaved as he struggled to fill his lungs, black spots already encroaching on his sight. However, even with his degrading health, he was happy Phoenixstar was alright. That was all that mattered, in the end.

Honestly, Irony wasn't surprised with the sight of the porcupine. Heck, there were two headed dobermans in Scarclan. Black markings, like stray pencil dots on a blank sheet of paper, overflowed his amber gaze so much that he had to squint until his eyes were tiny slits of a yellow brown. "We tried to fight off Pagannight and the others," Irony explained, panting for air from the crimson liquid that poured out of his body. "And Phoenixstar lost a life. We escaped."

A small chocolate bengal she-kit sighed with sadness as she followed Irony, Wildfire, and Phoenixstar, watching a porcupine rush up to the group in a rather fretful manner. Ivykit kept her mouth shut; the kit was too sad to speak after witnessing the awful of events that had recently taken place in ShadowClan camp. And now they were in DarkClan... what a hoot. Her pretty golden eyes were downcast as she kept padding forward quietly, coming to a halt behind the leading group.

The brown and white tabby had placed a single paw in front of the other, keeping her position wary, but nonetheless, her lapis gaze settled upon the path before her. Lithicwing had strayed closed beside Wildfire and Phoenixstar, casting continuous glances over her shoulder to make sure the two had caught up and were balanced evenly. She had been worried about him . . . probably a lot more than she should have allowed herself.

The ex-deputy knew there was a lot for her to explain. But nonetheless, she kept her thoughts to herself, and continued forward.

The staunch aroma of Darkclan expanse had wavered beside her as it inevitably clung to the roof of the she-cat's maw, blue eyes warm, yet discreet and narrowed. As they approached, Lithicwing had caught sight of the porcupine, deliberately flinched to the side. It had been nearly a year since she stepped paw in any clan . . . there was a lot for her to catch up on.

Dipping her head towards both Chaz and Irony as Irony explained the situation, Lithicwing spoke. "Ivykit?" The lithe tabby meowed, turning her attention towards the small bengal kitten, twitching her whiskers nonchalantly. The kitten had reminded her of her own . . . strong, and fierce. Ivy had gone through a lot just watching what had happened only moments ago. "Can you get Coyotestar, or talk to someone who can find him? Perhaps the other refugees should be here as well." When she had noticed Grimhaze's sudden fall, Lithicwing immediately ran to his side, pressing her side against Phoenixstar, hoping to at least ligthen the weight. Gritting her teeth as her lips pressed into a tight line, inquisitive blue eyes peered downward at the porcupine; curiosity still prickling at her bones. " . . . Who are you?"

Smokescreen was behind the rest of the small brigade, keeping his eyes and ears alert in case any of the NightClan cats were following. As far as he could tell, they hadn't. He double-checked for any suspicious scents once more before considering them safe, and then bounded back ahead to check on Phoenixstar; the tom was now surrounded in a throng of cats, and being approached by a small... creature. Great StarClan, was that a porcupine?

The gray tom had never seen such a creature before. Perhaps he was living under the metaphorical rock, but he didn't bother himself with other Clans' business very often. He passed up on Gatherings and hardly gave a lick of care to the status of ShadowClan's nature; call it bias, but he distrusted the other Clans from the time he was a kitten. So he hadn't the faintest idea that DarkClan was ever inhabited by porcupines.

Hoping to display a bit of forethought, Smokescreen had spared the time to catch a fat and rather ignorant pigeon once they no longer had the fear of DarkClan cats on their heels. It meant he was hunting on enemy territory, but what harm would it do when they would be eating DarkClan's food, regardless? The tom trotted up toward his leader, not so close that he would interrupt any medical care the others might give him, and plopped the bird down in the case that Phoenixstar could muster the strength to eat. He didn't want the leader to lose another life, and traveling such a distance would have surely taken a lot of energy out of him.

But his leader wasn't Smokescreen's only concern -- so was the welfare of all his Clanmates. He had noticed Grimhaze's collapse, and trotted toward him. "Are you all right?" The gray tom's voice was more apathetic than concerned, but that was merely a front; the worry in his eyes was genuine. "If you need something to wet your throat, I can fetch it for you."

Phoenixstar was surprised to say the least to see a porcupine. His natural instinct told him to get away before he got hit by the sharp needle like quills. But he was to weak to bother doing that. He just watched Chaz nervously with wide eyes. His main injuries were on his shoulder. All the blood hid the wounds true extent. Once cleaned off it would reveal large scratched going horizontal across his shoulder blades. The wounds had gone far enough that a patch of his fur had been torn off on his right shoulder. The other major wound was on his neck, it had been a fatal wound, the one that had killed him. Due to his lives the wound had been partially healed so it wouldn't kill him again but the injury still needed to be attended to.

The she-cat looked up at the sound of Lithicwing speaking her name. Coyotestar... she had heard the name a few times, but every time a cat mentioned DarkClan, Jefreestar or Mottledstar had come up. Ivykit felt too numb to care, though, so she dipped her delicate head obediantly to Lithicwing and walked off to find the leader.

The bengal padded into the camp entrance hesitantly, golden optics full of wariness scanning the area in search of any cat's whose name ended with 'star.' "Hello," she called quietly, hoping that someone heard her.

As Chaz approached, he noted all of the strange and fearful glances hew as getting. To be honest, he'd almost forgotten that porcupines living alongside cats was rare. However, he knew he had to ignore them, at least for now. They'd get over once he treated their leader, probably saving his life.

The porcupine nodded in understanding as a cat explained the situation to him. "'ight. Y'all just sit still, I'll be right back." Chaz took up the fastest pace that was possible for him, and made his way to the back of the den. Although it was hard to carry it all, the porcupine managed to get all of the herbs he needed out of the den and in a pile next to the injured leader.

"Ya' can lay down if ya' want." he said, setting to work no the cat. As his experienced gaze scanned the cat, his eyes widened in shock upon finding his neck soaked in blood. Mumbling softly under his breath, the porcupine cleaned the wound out with wet moss, only to find a large gash. Taking the chewed horsetail and garlic he had on paw, he spread it carefully over the wound, careful to apply as little pressure as possible. He knew it hurt already, and didn't want to cause an extra agony. Afterwards, hew applied heavy amounts of cobwebs over the wound, packing it on tightly. he then began to work on the other wounds, repeating the process. All the while, Chaz kept his quills pressed firmly against his back, and avoided eye contact, as to seem less-threatening.

--

Grimhaze cracked open an eye, hearing a voice. However, in his ears, he only heard garbled sounds. Looking around in confusion until he spotted Smokescreen, the once stoic warrior stared at him with a dull, glazed over gaze. ".. What?" he asked, his voice lacking his characteristic monotone.

Phoenixstar lay down at Chaz' invite, or more accurately he let himself fall to the ground. Had it not been for Irony and Wildfire supporting him he would've sank to the ground much sooner. It seemed at least Chaz knew what he was doing though. Still a porcupine as a medicine ca- no not a cat a medicine porcupine was strange.

The tom winced as Chaz cleaned the wounds and applied herbs. The wounds already did hurt and when the herbs were added it increased the pain ever so slightly, and something in the herbs stung a bit. It couldn't be helped though the wounds were sensitive, but he recognized Chaz was careful otherwise it would've hurt even more.

He kept a constant eye on Chaz watching his every move, while trying not to move much. He didn't want to move because one it hurt and two if he did he might mess up what Chaz was doing. As Chaz moved on to work on his other wounds Phoenixstar began to relax as he saw by Chaz' body language that he wasn't a threat. His nervousness slowly turned to curiosity.

He wasn't supposed to be out of camp, but instinct told him that something strange has happened.

Twilightkit had a knack for spotting the strange and the weird, as he felt himself as one. He was not born in DarkClan, he did not consider himself a DarkClanner. He was a Rogue and a Loner, things that Clans despised since the dawn of creation. He still was not sure why the Clan had adopted him into the fold as such.

He was not even supposed to be out of camp, yet instinct had told him to go outside and breathe in the fresh air. That was when he had felt it, the scent of ShadowClan. He ducked under a log when Pheonixstar and his ilk made their presence known. He had even thought that Chaz was gonna defend his territory, but instead he had gone for the Leader. And when he left, Twilightkit spoke out. "..What in..anything..happened to you all?" He squeaked.

Wildfire practically clung to her leader's side, in an act of compassion, admiration and loyalty. "Feeling any better Pheonix?" Her voice was strong and confident, but definitely laced with concern. "Is there anything I could do? I could fetch Serpentsnare if you want." She was happy to oblige and tend to his every whim; that was what clan mates were for anyways, right? In such dark times such as these, the aristocratic warrior found it especially important to strengthen the bonds between members.
Wildfire was oozing blood from not only her wounds from Mortgan and Pagannight, but from Scarclan battlefields. Before she had come to the rescue, the warrior fought her way through Scarclan, shredding any anti-clanner that dared to attack. She was messily patched up, crimson still bubbling like a fountain from gashes along her flank, face, throat, you name it. Cobwebs were soaked through and the marigold was applied improperly; she was a warrior after all, not a medicine cat. Though she was still bleeding heavily and her black fur was now a deep scarlet, Wildfire's focus was fixated in the cat before her, her gaze never leaving him.

Irony looked slowly at the cats around him, his super senses ranging around the camp to look for the shadowclan deputy. The Scarclan tom bit his lip, nervous around all the pro-clanners. But in times like these anyone who would help was an ally to him. Scars covered his body, wounds pink and crimson with infection and blood. Pain surged through him with every moment, but he fought on, never once deciding to give up.Worry filled his amber orbs as Phoenixstar fell. Boy did he want to, but no, he would stand by his side until he knew he could leave. Glancing over at Wildfire, he whispered, "It'd be nice if you did go get Serpentsnare, please.." His whisper was barely more than a rasp, his body tired and stiff.

Iceflame had seen Grimhaze and her eyes widened, "Grimhaze!" she meowed rushing to his side. She knew the tom didn't like her, but she still considered him a dear friend.
