   Tawnyleg licked her vibrant tabby pelt and sighed. What a nice day, maybe I should go hunting. She twitched her whiskers, noticing how well stocked the fresh-kill pile was. Maybe later, or just a walk.

"Great," he purred flicking his tail. His eyes flickered shut as he thought about what the other cometitions would be.

The long-legged tabby turned her dark,bright blue eyes to Tawnyleg. A dazzling smile growing on her maw, ''Sup,' Wishfulpaw purred, lifting her head in one nod of greeting. Sitting slowly down to her rump, the she-cat wrapped her tail rather unneatly over her white paws. Wishfulpaw's vibrant tabby pelt was unusual for a cat with such blue eyes, it was rather rare. 'I'm good, Bro, what about you?' She purred, keeping her white teeth in a dazzling grin, 'Sent in the poem, yet?' She meowed, turning briefly to look at Sorrelstar.

   Tawnyleg smiled at Wishfulpaw. Finally, a cat that's not so depressing! "I'm good, how are you?" the pretty tabby answered.

The light red tabby glanced at Tawnyleg, seeing that she wanted the position as much as she did.

Tawnyleg noticed Audiomachine looking at her and she looked back."Do you think... We'll get the position?" the reddish brown tabby asked, realizing Audiomachine seemed like a very noble warrior, a good choice for messenger.

Audiomachine slightly smiled and spoke, "There is only one answer to that, do we deserve it? If we do then, yes, we might." Audiomachine said while flicking her tail.

"You're right, we must train hard to earn respect and new ranks," Tawnyleg quietly agreed, realizing that Audiomachine probably deserved the position more. I work hard, I'm loyal... What difference is there to me and her?? The tabby immediately realized the answer, she herself realized she was more... High strung and energetic, while Audiomachine was more quiet and reserved. Tawnyleg shrugged and realized anything could happen, and decided not to worry about it so much.

The she-cat smiled brightly and looked back to her leader, flicking her tail one more time before wraping it around her feet. This cat seems so nice..but she is also very hyper. Audiomachine collected her thoughts and tried to think about the tournament..focusing..

Tawnyleg smiled back, realizing Audiomachine was rather kind. Even if we don't get the position, we can still be friends, she thought.
