A long time ago, sometime during the Jurassic time period, there lived one (of many) cat called Storm. He was one of three kits in his family, two male and one female. They lived always hiding in trees, only hunting occasionally, because of the danger of dinosaurs. Then, one day, when he was approximately half a season old, a group of raptors caught his family when they tried to move homes. He barely managed to escape,by climbing a tree, although he was forever marked with a raptor-claw shaped scar on his shoulder. After that, he lived alone, scavenging. Then, when he turned ¾ of a season old, he saw another pack of raptors hunting some plant-eaters. He was amazed at their intelligence and swiftness, and the way they looked out for each other. After seeing this, he realized what amazing dinosaurs they were and renamed himself Raptor. Then he decided to do something  to help the other cats that lived in the forest. He saw the way the pack hunters like velociraptors were so efficient, so he decided to create his own “pack” of cats. However, he decided to call his pack a clan, to distinguish himself from the raptors and other pack hunters.
But, when he first made this decision, he was doubtful that he had done the right thing. Then, a group of cats visited him in his dream. They said that they were known as The Watchers, and they were always watching over the cats. They told Raptor that what he was doing was just what other cats needed, a way to care for and protect each other. They told Raptor that in honor of his bravery and courage in his decision to make the clan, he would receive nine lives, along with the suffix of ‘watcher’ to commemorate and signify that it was his responsibility to watch over his clan and protect it.
That is how JurassicClan came to be.

Watcher: The Watcher is the leader of the clan
Head Guardian: The head Guardian acts as the deputy
Guardians: These cats are the warriors of the clan, fighting and watching the borders. They also take on the duty of training the learners.
Learners: These are the cats that are half a season old or older. They are assigned a trainer (mentor) that teaches them.
Healer: This cat shares a special bond with The Watchers, communicating with them every half moon cycle at Watching Rock.
Healers apprentice: This cat is trained in the ways of the healer, and take over if the healer should die.
Protectors: These cats are the nursing cats who have kits younger than a half season. They were gived the title of “protectors” because of their fierce protectiveness of other cats, especially kitlings.
Kitlings: These are the young cats, younger than a half season.
Ancients: The Ancients are the most respected cats in the clan because of their age. It is rather rare for a cat to survive long enough to be an ancient.

Watching Rock: This is the equivalent of the moonstone. It is a large, tall gray rock in a clearing that the Watcher and Healers climb to speak with the Watchers. It is flat at the top.

Raptor –dung: This is an exclamation of irritation when something goes awry. It like saying “Oh snap!”

Pterodactly-brain- this is essentially calling another cat stupid.

Leaf-eater: This is like saying another cat is weak or not to bright or can’t fight well.

Raptor-heart: This is like calling someone very sly, devious and sneaky.

Clumsy as a T-rex: this is calling another cat clumsy or ungainly

You’re as big as a triceratops!: This is calling another cat fat.

Watchers, I ask you to Watch over this  kitling, as he/she makes the journey to become a learner. I ask you to guide and watch their pawsteps, and Watch over their trainers. (name of kitling) You have reached the age of six moons, and the time has come for you to take the path of a learner. (Name of kitling) your trainer shall be (name of trainer). he/she is (add qualities) and I know he/she will pass on all that he/she knows to you. From now on, you shall be known as (kitlings new name).
