Party in the Nursery!

Metrokit padded into the Nursery, quite contented today. “Party in the Nursery!” She called out loud enough for kits to hear.

Darkkit paddded up to Metrokit. She play-tackled her.

Nightkit heard this and she pricked her ears up in excitement. She didn't have any friends so she didn't know what to do. The black she-kit with a white chest, belly, and paws sat down disappointed. She stared at her soft, white paws and sighed sadly. She lashed her tail back and forth and thought,Why does no one like me?

Cellularkit blinked open her eyes, brow furrowed at the sudden noise. Her anger at being woken up quickly have way to excitement as she leaped up from her nest, trotting over to Metrokit and Darkkit. Her sleek brown tabby pelt still had bits of moss from her nest in it. Hazel eyes sparkling brightly, the dainty shecat mrrowed. "Hiya!"

Nightkit's amber eyes showed sadness and disappointment. She scanned the nursery with sad eyes and something caught her pretty amber eyes. Nightkit bounded over to the object, it was hopping. Frog! Nightkit pounced on it and licked her muzzle. She killed it and purred in satisfaction and delight. She smiled and dropped her catch in the fresh-kill pile. She had no mother and she felt upset because she had no one to praise her for her work, or cuddle with in her nest at nap times and at night, no one to teach her right from wrong, no one to play with, and no one to groom and feed her and comfort her whens shes upset and mad. Nighkit shook her head trying to clear the thought. She snapped back to reality and sat down.

She remembered Snowkit greeting her,"Oh hey." Nightkit called with bored and sad eyes.

Nightkit stood up sadly and walked away. Her head looking down at the ground, tail dragging, and ears flat. She sat in a dark corner and whispered to herself,"No one likes me because I'm different."

Sparrowkit and Milkkit glanced at each other. Sparrowkit padded over to Nightkit and his cream-colored sister went to where Metrokit and Darkkit were tussling.

Cellularkit craned her neck to get rid f the annoying moss pieces. They enjoys sticking to her bristly fur. "What kind of party are we talking about?" she meowed warmly, totally psyched to have some fun.
