Rose belmar stood in her room looking out of her window. The reaping was in a few hours and she was terrified that she'd be picked. Your names only in there....twice. she took a bath and began to walk sadly to where the reaping was being held. A wail broke out from all the 13 uear old girls. Meghan carrnahan was balling her eyes out in the back of the crowd. "I can't. Be. Scared."she whispered to herself.

IC: Lilac walked forward. "Next". The peacekeeper said. She layed out her finger and felt a small zap. She bit her lip and pressed her finger on the page, leaving a fingerprint of blood. She slowly stood by motionlessly, waiting for her 3 sisters and her 4 brothers to be done. She had circles under her eyes and cracked, dry lips. She slowly escorted her brothers and sisters into the section where the 12, 13 and 14 year olds were, while she went to the 15 year old section, silently waiting. She glanced at the bowl. 52 pieces of paper with Lilac written on all over it. The odds weere not in here favor.

Rose waited for the annoucer to step up towards the bowl. Sunshine reached her hand in. Mind you sunshine did not look like a ray of sunshine at all. Her hair was black and her skin was as pale as the sky at dawn. Her deadly fingernails plucked out a name from the girls bowl. " rose belmar" she boomed. I nearly choked when she said my name. I stood there dazed as if my mind wasn't in my body anymore. One foot after another I slowy walked on the stage. All the girls stared at me as if I was to be destined to die. Sunshine waltzed over to the boy's bowl. Man did I hate that capitol accent, and now I would be surrounded by them? She pulled out a slip and unfolded it "david caraly"she cheerily said into the microphone

Victoria gulped. The awful lady named Aelia Jerco was fishing around in a glass bowl. She felt a hand on her shoulder. Her best friend Cassy, silently locked eyes with her. They will take each others places in the games. Aelia grabbed one. Victoria felt her small breakfast come up. In district 10 (i changed) that was all they had. "Victoria Lee." Dead silence. Victoria choked back a sob. "No. Cassy, no." That was all she said. She walked slowly towards the stage. Cassy made a strangled sound. "NO! Cassy, don't vol-". Her voice was cut off.  "congrulations! Meet your new distirct 10 tribute, Victoria Lee!"

Kat waited in her arena, her little sister, Jordan, was only 13 and she knew she wouldn't get picked. Kat waited for the capital lady to pull a slip. The lady moved her han around and around. She finally got open and opened it and read it to the microphone, "Jordan Field." she spoke. Kat watched silently tears starting to well up as her little sister went up. "Any volunteers?" asked the lady. "I volunteer, I volunteer as tribute!" Kat yells out. Kat steps up and moves Jordan away. "What's your name?" asked the lady. "Kat Field." she said. "Ladies and gentlemen, Your tributes!" said the lady. dead silence. The lady put Kat on the train.

Glisten waited and volunteered when the female tributes name was called. She wanted to be in the games. She was ready. Glisten talks to her friends and family. She final finished and is out of. The train. glistne sits watching her district zoom by.

Aelia fished around in the boy glass. She cheerfully called "Logan Keef!" NO!! not him!! Victoria silently wailed. Logan Keef was her other best friend. Cassy looked like she was going to pass out. 2 of her best friends, had just gotten a death sentence.  Victoria felt like she was going to puke on Aelia's well, puke pink dress. Logan locked eyes with Victoria. They shook hands. Peacekeepers shoved them into the justice building.

Queen, a bouncy, over-the-top lady from the Capitol walked up onto the platform. "Welcome, welcome, to this year's 76th annual hunger games!" She said. "Now, as always, ladies first". Her silver white glove slipped off her hands as she she took them off and reached into the bowl. Her heart pounded loudly until Queen quickly chose the card and walked up to the microphone. She cleared her throat and smiled, looking the card. "Rosy Hawthorne". She called. Rosy looked around, shaking and gulping. "No..." Lilac whispered to herself. "No...no..NO"! She ran forward, pushing Rosy behind her. "I volunteer! I volunteer as tribute"! She screams. Silence. That's what meets her. Queen gulps and quickly picks out a male tribute, someone named Marcellas and they shake hands. She gulps an they are quickly escorted to the train, where she gazes in awe at the amazing mouth watering dishes.

Rose and david shook hands and was escorted into the justice building while they waited for their reletives to arrive. Next door where david caraly was held. There was loud sobbing and wails as david cried as his family was ushered out of the room by the peacekeepers. Rose waited but relized no one was coming.she had no family. The peacekeepers barged in and grabbed her by her arms. They put her on a train with daivid and shut the door. "Rose this is your stylist emily and this is your your stylist david, her name is lola" a high-pitched voice sounded behind the tributes. "This is your room, dinner's at six"emily said before shutting thdoor polietly. Rose walked around her room. She opened her closet and pulled out a t-shirt and shorts and slipped them on. Rose walked down the hall the rug felt good on her feet.  The table was covered with food and it smelt so good. David was already sittigng at the table. They waited for sunshine to get seated. "Well eat up!"sunshine jeerily said and began to put chicken on her plate. Rose piled three rolls on her plate and put some warm stew in the empty bowl next to her. David ate quietly but when sunshine and their stylist left, he glared at her. "Listen rosee"david snarled her name as he spoke. "Stay out of my way in the arena alright". Rose flinched at his ne. "I could say the same thing"hse wanted to snap but she countinued to eat. When she finished she curled up in her soft bed but was still awake only the waterfall inside her room lulled her to sleep.

Rose woke up and ate her breakfast and went down to the traning hall. David was already there throwing knives at the dummies. The kanives bounced off the target. The careers snicked at him and began stabbing mercessily into the dummies ,the knifes going all the way throush the soft foam. Rose climbed a pole and latched herself on with a harness. She pulled her bow out and shot a dummy right in its heart. The careers pointed and smiled at her. She smiled inwardly,she might have a shot a having an allegiance with the careers! They walked over to her the boy from 8, two girls from 5 and 7 and a another boy from 2. "Hey 6, we've been thinking and agreed. Do you want to have an alligiance with us?" The boy from 2 said. "You guys really think I'm good?" I asked slightly suprized. "Yea you shoot good" one of the girls said. "Uh ill join you and i know who to take out first"rose snarled loking at david.  "G yeah! Oh and rose your a career now no longer a tribute. The boy from 8 is garret, the two girls from 5 and 7 are lily and mina and I'm from district 2,my names falen. "So what do I do now?"rose asked. "Come hang out with us,but first let's tell the gamemakes you joined the careers."falen said. "Rose belmar has joined the careers team. Lily,mina,garret cheered my name. Falen squeezed my hand tight. "I leaned into him. I knew the power that one the 74th hunger games was not only teamwork and most of all.  Love. And plus she already had little crush on falen.

Kat went to the training area and started to shoots bow. She got really good the inteuakture started to trow up birds and I hit everyone easily. (Just like in catching fire) she kept going and started to notice she heard each one drop. She kept going not worrying about it.
