"I'm so confused. How do I play this?"

We are a roleplaying website. You write posts with other members to build your characters' storylines, like a cooperative storytelling game. Your roleplays can be private or public. You can also design your characters' looks through avatar building, profile {camp} building and signatures or your own custom art.

We have RPG forums for roleplaying just about anything at all. We also have art and writing sharing groups and forums.



"How do I start?"

By jumping into a roleplay, or creating a "bio", automatically or in your own writing, and then starting. Bios are auto-approved; you do not have to wait for staff to review them.



"Either one? There has to be one way I have to start or else I'm 'doing it wrong'!"

Nope! You can start any way you like. We also let players start their own roleplays and set their own rules for them. Try our RP Joining forum. If you are still lost, post your questions in our Help Den.

These steps help get you into the action, and are NOT required but highly recommended.

*---Post an introduction in our welcome board. Say you are looking to start a roleplay and welcome offers; specify what you are looking for.

*--Use the "New, Unreplied Roleplays" links on the front of the site if you want to find roleplays nobody else has joined yet! That other person waiting on a reply will also be grateful you picked their thread. Warm fuzzies everywhere and no backstory to worry about--the best way to begin.

*--Start a few roleplay threads. If you want to be very active, start more than one character.

*--Join a few others' fresh threads replied to within the past day. Try several and figure out what suits you best.

*--Use the mate and/or apprentice request boards. Post links to your roleplay threads. You can also roleplay in these boards if you prefer.

*--Use the Newbie Roleplay and Buddy Finder. Post your requests' and roleplays' links there, and post in others' threads.

*--PM someone if you want to start a roleplay. Just don't make it an ad and you should be fine. {Do NOT abuse the thread invite feature by spamming to dozens of people.}

*--Be patient! Players are not intentionally ignoring you. They're just wrapped up in their own roleplays, as you will soon be too.

*--Put your roleplay links in your signature, with a catchy graphic if you have one. Deck out your profile with your links as well.

*--If all this still fails, post in our help den, and bump your intro thread {or start a new one} saying you need help. Post in our support.

1. Be patient and kind to others at all times here, regardless.
          Do NOT threaten to report somebody. If a member is being disruptive and it id beyond your capability to handle it while remaining polite and calm, do not try and handle it yourself; report it. Staff will step in and handle it as well as give you helpful advice if needed.

If a member is being disruptive on your thread, ban them from the thread and/or delete their posts as necessary.

2. Don't start drama. {If you feel mistreated by staff – PM an admin!}
         This includes threatening to hurt yourself or others, and making rants and discussing rulebreaks and bans in public.

Passive-aggressiveness: Often abbreviated "PA." Passive-aggressiveness is being aggressive...without being aggressive. Confused? Here's an example:

That's okay, you only give out kits to your friends anyway.

This quote is just an example, by the way, although it illustrates that not all rudeness comes in the form of capital letters and angry smileys.

Baiting - Complaining about members, staff, and/or the site in its policies in a negative manner. If there is something you wish to criticize, it must be done constructively.

A note on flashing GIFs: Large flashing GIFs that may trigger epilepsy in your sig, avatar, or profile will be taken down if over the top. If you must include it, put it in a spoiler and include a warning.

3. Be appropriate!
               We are PG-13, which means NO mature / adult content. This also includes asking for personal information.

4. NO Plagiarism/art theft.
               {Stealing someone’s work and claiming you made it. To learn about plagiarism and more, click here.}

5. No injuring or killing another person's character without their permission.
               Play only your own character{s}, and AIM to attack another person’s character instead of auto-hitting, which is powerplaying! If you have permission from the player, this is then allowed.

6. Be realistic.
               This includes no making your character super powerful, avoiding all attacks (aka godmoding), or using one man armies. This rule only applies to the main game, though if you are running an RPG here it is strongly recommended you have some sort of rule about this.

One man armies are large masses of characters that you create in order to try to win a battle.

You must accept the consequences of your actions. If your character or group is greatly outnumbered, you must flee, or staff can allow the other player to automatically kill your cat or take it prisoner.

7. You can't create a position of power for any of our official Clans/Groups.
               {The official Clans/Groups are those which have more than 10,000 posts. Their power positions are characters played by other members here.}

If you would like to make your own fanClan/Group, click here! Once you start accumulating posts, your fanClan/group can pass certain marks and get rewards!

8. You may not spam or advertise. Do not advertise anything outside your signature or our Ad Threads. This includes PM advertising and abusing the thread invite feature.

Spam can consist of advertising PMs, advertising via thread invite, chain messages, and random posts that are disrupting an IC thread.

Thread invite abuse is when you send thread invites to your fanClan's sign-up or your shop to random people in order to advertise. This is treated as spam.
